Braxton Hicks??
I think I may be having Braxton Hicks contractions and boy they HURT!  Last night I had what I'll call a 'spell" where my entire pelvic region started hurting BAD like menstrual cramps and my left leg even started cramping and my belly got tight.  It reminded me of "growing pains" from puberty.  I could not be still-I had to moan and all!!  My hips still hurt and I did not sleep well so I feel like the living dead here at work today.  I don't mean to be a whiney butt but I am so uncomfortable that I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day!  I feel kinda down and blue too for some reason-guess it's a hormonal thing.  I was sad feeling yesterday too.  I drank LOTS of water before and after that episode and had eaten well, laid down and changed my position and finally it went away.  It lasted for what seemed like an eternity.  I was rolling around on the floor in tears it hurt so bad.  I hope that's normal......it just seems a little early to have painful Braxton Hicks.....

28 weeks/appt
Today was my 28 week appointment and glucose tolerance test.  Brad's boss' house flooded so I ended up having to go by myself.  I am so afraid of needles but ended up doing fine.  I gained a whopping 7 lbs which I was not happy about but the doctor told me it was fine and that I'm "all baby".  Ever since I drank that sugary drink they have you drink to administer the test, the baby has been SO active-more so than ever!!  He had not ever had that much sugar (and won't ever if I have anything to do with it-LOL)!  It was super distracting at work.  I asked if the doctor could tell what position he's in and she felt my belly and said he's head down with his butt on my left side and his legs coming across the top of my belly and stretching over to the right.  The sugar must have effected his heartrate too because it was up to 159-160, she could hear him moving all around.  He is going nuts even as I type this-LOL!  I was happy that I got to see a doctor today!  I have only seen the nurse practitoner since I was 16 weeks.  The doctor was super nice and is my sister in law's doctor too.  She was so reassuring about my weight concern!!  I forgot to ask if she could tell how much he weighed.  She said they normally don't pay much attention to what position to what position the baby's in until about 36 weeks but I was glad to know where things are in there so I know what part is kicking/wiggling.  I turned in the FMLA form to the doctor's office today and will pick it up in two weeks when I go back (I go every two weeks now); the next appointment is July 29 at 8:45 am.  I also turned the form in to my manager at work today to send off to the home office.  I think I have to submit it to my short term disibility company too...  I went shopping last night and found some cute maternity clothes!!  I had been needing some things for work.  I made our appointment for the 3D/4D ultrasound for August 9 at 11:00 am.  Since the family went with us to the other two we've had, we wanted this one to be just us.  I will be 31 weeks then and can't wait to see who he looks like!!  We will get pictures and a DVD; the baby shower is the next day so I will be able to take them to show our family and friends.  My sciatic nerve has still been bothering me-I could barely make it around the block this evening!!  It is only on the right side.  I also get out of breath easier which makes going over paperwork at work fun!!  I feel like I'm practically gasping for air-LOL!  I'm posting some pics of my belly at 27 weeks and of the changing table we just bought that matches our crib.  I think this is all for this past week.......

27 weeks/Home Improvement Task #2

This has been both the fastest and slowest week!!  We had been planning for awhile to redo our hardwood floors (which make up about 98% of our house) and had decided that  the long weekend was the best time to do it.  Brad and his dad had meticulously planned this weekend for weeks and weeks and were going to go all out and do it all themselves.  They sanded Friday while I tried to stay out of the house and things were coming along quite nicely.  I had to work Saturday so they "were" going to apply stain and then that night they "were" going to apply the polyurethane.  Well, after Friday let's just say Brad had no help and I ended up having to help him myself.  It took us twice as long and our house is still not put back together.  My back has been hurting so bad (duh).  I know I did way more than I should have.  I have felt so porky because I haven't been to the gym this week because of all this and I did not make the best food choices.  ALL of our furniture and other stuff was either in the kitchen, the sunroom or the laundry room so we couldn't really cook.  I'm so glad it's almost over now!  I'm putting the changing table together tomorrow and am going to start washing the baby's clothes and crib bedding this weekend.  Work has been crazy too-our Anderson property's numbers are dropping and I have so much on me right now at our Greenville property that I'm feeling overwhelmed with it all.  It is part of my job to ensure that they don't drop-whatever it takes.......  There's only 12-14 weeks left before I go out on maternity leave and I don't want to leave a mess.....I need to pray about it-LOL!  We still don't have a name for the baby either........I like Jackson but am hearing it more and more.....I'm thinking about having a 3D/4D ultrasound in the next few weeks, maybe seeing him will inspire us .  He has really been active overall.  Some days more so than others though.  He seems to like to kick or punch at the top of my tummy-speaking of which-there he went-LOL!  The heartburn has continued-sometimes nonstop.  Praise the Lord for Wal Mart brand Acid Controller!!  I need to take some pictures this week-I feel like the belly has grown A LOT!  I go to the doctor Tuesday for the Glucose test and my 28 week appointment, I will update afterwards....

26 weeks-Long Update!
We accomplished SO MUCH this past weekend!!  Brad and I are notorious for taking on major home improvement tasks on a whim-LOL!  We decided to paint the nursery and all the shelves in it's 2 closets as well as the doors to the closets and to the room itself.  We decided on a very soft creamy yellow called Heart of Palm and we painted 3 of the 4 walls because Brad is doing a mural to cover the other wall.  For those of you who don't know-Brad is a very talented artist and wants to do a dinosaur mural on the wall.  He did one for my brother and sister in law's Jungle theme nursery and it turned out so cute that he wanted to do one for ours too!!  Brad's mom gave us the money to buy the bedding set on Friday and I went ahead and got a changing table, changing pad and pad cover.  I think we're going to put the changing table against the wall in front of the mural.  We also have a date for the shower, August 10 from 3-5.  It is going to be at my Aunt Edi's house.  We registered at Babies R Us, Target and Wal Mart.  The baby has been more active today than ever I think!!  He has been kicking or punching or elbowing up high.  He kicked my coworker so hard today she jumped backwards-LOL!  He is going nuts right now actually!  My belly has gotten so much bigger too!  It has almost surpassed my breasts-LOL!  I have had more energy the past day or so too.  It's a good thing too because this Holiday weekend Brad's dad is coming over and they are resurfacing all the hardwoods in the house-our house is 98% hardwood!  I'm going to be working Saturday anyway so I won't really be around the staining, etc.  I know this was LONG and I apologize-this past week has just been an eventful one!!
