Getting Ready
My 37 week appointment is tomorrow at 2-we will find out if I have Group B Strep or not.   We had a resident function at work Saturday night and I am so glad that my coworkers helped me out!!  I was WHOOPED when I got home and it took me nearly all day Sunday to recover.  I actually thought I was having early labor symptoms yesterday!  We had just eaten and my back started having spasms-BAD spasms!  My stomach got sooo tight and even when I tried laying on each side, stretching and going on all fours-it did not let up.  I finally took a Tylenol and gave it time to work-all this time Brad was rubbing my back and none of it worked.  I was in some kind of pain zone and was trying everything I knew of to make it stop!  Brad ran me a warm bath and finally I got in.  I started timing these spasms and they were about 8 minutes apart but they did not seem to let up so it was hard to time them-it was like one continual pain!  I started to call my mom or sister in law.  While sitting on the couch with Brad and our "dogter" Sophie, it suddenly HIT ME-in a very short amount of time-it will not ever, ever be just me and Brad again-ever!  I started to cry!  Although we have had 10 years of it just being us-it is bittersweet to leave those days behind!  I don't want anything or anyone to ever come between us and I know our child's future depends on us having the strong foundation that we have  so I guess it is a good thing that want to make sure we maintain that!  I didn't sleep so well last night either-I tossed and turned all night!  I had to go to our Anderson property today which is about 30 mins from the one in Greenville and I felt like hell all day-I tried to fake it but I was WHOOPED!  IDK why I decided to work until the end-I don't think I will next time!  I have 14 working days left and pray to God for the strength and stamina to make it!  My back hurts again tonight and I can tell he's lower-I'm feeling more pressure "down there".  I'm going to try to get to sleep earlier tonight-maybe that will help...

36 week Dr. Appt.

My 36 week appt was today at 4.  It went really well-and FAST!  We met another doctor, he was nice and even asked if we had registered at the hospital and had a bag packed (yes and yes-LOL).  My blood pressure was 106/72, I gained 5 lbs since last time (YIKES!!  I knew my belly had gotten a lot bigger and he has gotten A LOT stronger), I'm measuring right at 36 weeks, his heartbeat was 135-140 and although he did not feel for his position-the doctor thinks he is still head down.  I also had the Group B Strep Test, we should know at our next appt, which is next Tuesday the 12th at 2, if it was positive or negative.  When we were checking out, the receptionist said that they will do an internal exam in two weeks but will chack me next week if I feel ike I have dialated any.  IDK what that feels like so........But I do think something is going on "down there".  The AC went out again in our office today so we took our work (up two flights of stairs) to a corporate apartment and I think I tried to carry too much because I had some pains in "that" area afterwards.  For the rest of the day when I walked around I got those same pains.  I didn't mention them to the doctor or the fact that when I went to leave my urine specimen I literally saw floaters!!  It was like there was glitter flying through the air but my blood pressure was fine and all so IDK why I was seeing floaters-maybe I got too hot??  He has been moving sooo much too-squirrming and he is hitting a spot down there that hurts-like a sharp pain.  It is not in the vaginal area though-it is more in the urethra area-sorry if that is too graphic!  I know the pelvic bone is there so maybe he's hitting it a little.  I have had more Braxton Hicks contractions today and even a few that were painful.  At least my body's  getting ready!!

36 weeks/Work Shower

The girls at work threw us a shower today!  We got lots of great stuff including tubs, blankets, towels, diapers and wipes, the lamp for our bedding set, baby medicines, a baby sling/carrier, bottles, clothes and so much more!!  The cards were all so sweet!!  Afterwards I went to Babies R Us to pick up the stuffed Dinosaurs that go with his set, a nursing bra and gown, nursing pads and a matress cover.  My manager wants to get us some stuff we didn't get even though she already got us so much!!  All we really need is an extra crib sheet or two and I am not sure if we'll use a bottle drying rack or one of those swaddle me blankets......I also need to get his headpeice for the carseat and a baby book from Target next weekend.  As I was walking around Babies R Us, I was having tons of Braxton Hicks contractions and my feet felt so LAAARGE!  They continued at home until I got off my feet and drank some water.  I had a few kinda painful ones.  IDK why-I may be wrong but I really feel like he's going to come early.  After next Sunday he'll be full term so if he comes he should be okay.  I still feel like we have a lot to do to get ready for him.  For one, we don't have his crib yet-Brad's sister is still using it for our nephew who is about to transition out of it and into a toddler bed.  I know we don't NEED it-we have the bassinet so he'll have somewhere to sleep once he comes home but I want to have it all in place.  There are some other things too  but physically I am not able to stand for too long without being lightheaded and/or sore to do a lot of them.  I know Brad will do most of it-we have to put our guest room back ogether from where we re-did our floors in July-LOL!  I know we will have some overnight guests once he comes and they will need a place to sleep.  Hopefully at least some of us will get to sleep anyway-LOL!  I only have 20 days of work left and I pray to God I get through them-with the way I've been having Braxton Hicks when I'm on my feet the past 2 days.....and the way  my feet are swelling....also the AC went out in our office over the weekend and it is going to be over 90 degrees here tomorrow sand the power is out in the majority of our office too....hope it gets fixed pronto-I'm going to try to remember to take this portable fan I have.  Being in the 9th month of pregnancy in a HOT office??  Does not sound fun, huh??  Not much longer now.....

35 weeks

I am now 35 weeks, 3 days and we are almost ready for Baby Jackson!  We worked so hard on his room this past weekend.  We put together the glider/ottomon and Brad replaced some outlets and light switches.  We set up the baby monitor and Brad even made crying baby noises in our room to make sure it worked-LOL!  I think it freaked Sophie and Zoe out (our dog and cat)!  Brad will have the mural done this week-we actually decided for him to do a picture instead of covering the whole wall which means we will have to paint the wall.  We don't want to paint it yellow like the rest of the nursery though-so maybe a blue or greenish color....It was like Brad was the one nesting this weekend!  He wanted to organize shelves, deep clean the entire house, etc.  It was so cute!  I am glad he was so motivated-especially since my mobility is limited.

Physically I am hanging in there.  My hips and back are still sore and the heartburn is insane-all to be expected.  Last night we went to bed around 10 and I fell asleep well-like normal and got up to pee-like normal around 2am-only this time I was not able to go back to sleep!  I did get to watch Jerry McGuire though as I tossed and turned!  Jackson was pushing and kicking and squirrming too which did not help to relax me.  He does not ever move that much at night!  I also kept feeling like I was going to throw up-I couldn't even eat breakfast this morning and I always eat breakfast!  I have noticed that my appetite has not been too good-I'm just not hungry and I am getting nauseated regularly.  I have had some painful Braxton Hicks this weekend too-2 opf them-one on Saturday and one last night.  Brad made his awesome home made salsa and after having some-my belly got sooo tight and it hurt to move but I felt like I HAD to move if that makes sense!!  My upper/inner thigh even hurt.  I am praying that I can sleep soundly tonight!  He has been moving like crazy today to the point where I am kind of sore!

My next Dr.'s appt is next Tuesday and then I will go every week.  My work shower is this Sunday and we are hoping to get the rest of the stuff for his Lil Dino set like the lamp and the blanket and an extra crib sheet.  Only 33 days to go now!!
