I am 10 weeks as of today!  Only a couple more weeks until we have our ultrasound........We don't even have a VCR to watch it on at home-we gave ours away years ago-LOL!  Since my last entry I have been quite nauseated!  I was shocked that it would start this late in the first trimester!  I have to STAY full to ward it off!  Food "sits funny" on my tummy now too, like a lump-LOL!  I think I am starting to show just a tad too!  It may just be bloating though-I have fallen a victim of constipation as of late!  I had to use the rubber band trick on my pants at work Friday by the end of the day!  I got some relief from the bloating last night if you know what I mean (TMI-I know) and this morning my belly is pretty flat again......I'll have to take some more pics today.....I am starting to dream about the baby more and more too and that has been sweet!  I still think it is a girl, Brad thinks it is a boy and refers to it as "he" all the time.  He likes to check my belly for "growth" every day and he likes to rub it and talk to it.  It is sweet that he is soo happy about the pregnancy too!  To be honest, I have been afraid to be "too happy" about being pregnant just yet because I know things can happen......But being "this close" to the end of the first trimester, I am letting my guard down and excitement is creeping in!    

We had our first appointment this morning.  When we got there I was shocked that they had me down for 8:30 when I KNOW  it was supposed to be 11:30 so they had to "work me in".  It was really no big deal at all though.  Another shocker was that there was no exam at all-just some Q&A,they drew 4 vials of blood and took a urine sample, no weight, no blood pressure.  We go back in 3 weeks for our exam and first ultrasound and I am sooo excited about that!!  I learned that my due date is October 5, not October 7 like I thought......

This past week has been pretty good.  I have been a tad nauseated in the evenings and I am still tired overall and my breasts are still sore....and growing!  LOL!  At work we had some girls from our corporate office in AL come to visit and we all went out to eat Saturday night.  We went to Wild Wings downtown and then to Dixie's Tavern.  I felt soo out of place being pregnant around all the drunks downtown (and the one's in our group-LOL)!!  It was actually kinda annoying!!  I have still been hitting the gym 3-4 nights a week, walking and doing some strength training.  I am off of work today and think I may take a night off from the gym too.  In the meantime I need to do some straightening....and napping!!    

I am 8 weeks as of today!  Just 4 more and we're out of the first trimester and I cannot wait let me tell ya!  I'm ready to have energy again!!  This past week has been pretty uneventful.......my cousin spent the weekend with us and we just watched movies and I got some much needed rest.  Work is going well, our Director of Employee Development is in town for a visit and I tild her I was expecting today and she was thrilled.  I made sure I told her I planned to take my 12 weeks and come back and that although I know juggling a career and a family is most assuredly going to be the most difficult thing I do in life, it is certain to be the most rewarding.  She took it all so well.  I have to call the President of our company this week to tell him because there are 4 girls from the home office coming into town this weekend and someone is sure to slip up, myself included!  If they were not coming, I would wait until after week 12.  I think he will take it well, he has children and grandchildren and he is a good Christian man.  On a random note, it is just an intuition but I think the baby is a girl.......I don't know why.....just a feeling....at some point I would like to have one of each though.  Brad is the last boy on his dad's side.  We have 3 nephews and if it is a boy we would have hand me downs galore, which is fine by me!!  The less we have to buy the better!  My first appointment is next Monday so just a week now and I can't wait!!  I know the doctors know what they are doing but it does kinda concern me not to have ANY prenatal care until the third month.  I hope we still get to come back at 12 weeks for our ultrasound instead of having to wait 4 more weeks.  Okay, I'm rambling, told ya this past week was uneventful-LOL!
