Five more days for my scheduled C Section. I am waiting for the hospital to call so that we can do the rest of our hospital phone registration. We are super excited. I have been having contractions and I really hope I don't go into labor, even though I am eager to see the baby. We have alot to do still before she comes. If I remember correctly, Ian and I will have to go to the hospital Monday to get our bracelets put on so we are all ready to go on Tuesday.
Katie is here and we have been having fun hanging out with her and Kaylie and shopping for our babies. My shower is on Sunday and I am so happy that Katie will be able to come and be here for the baby's birth.
Other than that, it has been super hot lately. We are trying to stay in doors and the other day we went swimming at my sister's new place. It felt so nice.
Anyway, stay cool and we will report after the baby comes.

2 More Weeks
I cannot believe we are almost at the end. 2 more weeks from today and we will be holding our new little one.
Things have been really stressful around here. We just found out yesterday that my husband's teaching contract is not getting renewed. This is the most horrible time to find this news out. We are supposed to be excited and happy, but instead we are now worried about how we will find something to sustain us until I at least can have the baby, recover, and get a good job with benefits which is our biggest concern. Luckily we have benefits through the school until the end of August, so that will buy us some time.
I am trying to stay strong and positive for my children and husband, but it has been a rough couple of days. We have been praying not just for us, but for the whole economy. It is horrible. All I can say is that I am proud of my husband.
We both passed our tests to substitute teach and we are thinking we might be able to join a teacher's union that we will be able to receive benefits through.
We just put Naomi and Owen on a wait list for a preschool in Manteca. It is supposed to be really good. The hours and rates are great, so if either Ian or I can get a job in Manteca, that would be great. That way, my mom would only have the baby when she starts babysitting in the Fall again.
So much to think about. Tomorrow (Wednesday) I turn 37 weeks. I was getting contractions last night as well. They are still irregular. I didn't sleep because I was so uncomfortable. I slept two full hours. It didn't help that we got the news about Ian's job yesterday either. I couldn't stop thinking about it.
We had a pretty eventful day with the kids though. I took Naomi and Owen to the library for preschool story time and they love it. Afterwards we grabbed McDonald's, then we took naps. After that they got wet in the back yard. Naomi then took a short nap and Ian and Owen went to hit balls at the golf course. So, despite the news, we are trying to keep busy and hoping it takes our minds off of things.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that we are almost there. I hope you are all doing well and just pray that things take a turn for the better for us. We would appreciate it.

36 Weeks
I cannot believe it has already been 36 weeks. Next week I will officially be considered full term. I am getting excited.
As my last entry indicated we had a baby shower. Having the new baby shower stuff around is exciting. I love looking at all the cute clothes we got. I cannot wait to dress the little bean up. We are getting ready for our next shower in a couple of weeks. I cannot believe that is only going to be 2 days before our scheduled C Section. I think we are about 20 days away from seeing our baby girl.
We registered for more at Babies 'R Us. I realized I don't have any washcloths or socks for the baby. I added other little things too. We are also going to register at a local boutique that we registered for with our daughter. I wish 'Sweet Dreams' was still open in McHenry Village because we registered there for our son. I loved that place, but the other boutique has gotten so much more stuff now too.
I have been having contractions way more often throughout the day. I am really looking forward to those being over. My ankles are swelling, but they seem to be going down by the time I wake up. I have been having to use the restroom somewhere between 2-4 times throughout the night. Isn't that supposed to stop by now?
Well, my next appointment is July 3. If anything new comes up, I will post.

1st Shower
We had a shower yesterday for this baby girl. It turned out really nice. The food was good. We had an Italian menu. I made two cakes myself. I did not get pictures of those, but they were super cute and so good. Sylvia and I made favors. I didn't have time to make the large candy bars because I was so busy with the other favors. I was up until 2 am that morning finishing the favors I started. I did not realize the work that it entailed. We made chocolate dipped pretzel sticks. I took some pictures of the first ones I made, but the ones Sylvia ended up making were the cutest. She used a flower mold and used sprinkles and the wrappers and everything were so girly, pink, purple, sparkly, and cute. I heard they were so good too. I made flower shaped, chocolate chip, lolli pops. They were big chocolate chip cookies in the shape of daisies. Then Sylvia and I piped pink and purple icing to portray a daisy. We then wrapped them in purple and pink celophane bags with really cute ribbon. Those and the pretzel sticks were displayed really cute in glass vases. Of course, I didn't get pictures of those either, but we got a lot of compliments on them. I made labels and wrapped them around Hershey Nuggets. We played some games that were fun.
The baby got a lot of good stuff. She got a bit of everything. She got blankets, outfits, bottle accessories, bath stuff, shoes, stroller, a really good amount of diapers and wipies, ummmmm....I can't remember what else. It was a good turnout.
I am excited for my next one with my husband's side of the family. My bff will be here from Florida and she is pregnant too. Katie, me and Sylvia were just talking about how cool it is that we get to see you pregnant. We miss you.
