Baby has arrived!

2007-12-27  (10 weeks)
Trying to recover still from Christmas.

We had a busy Christmas, just like every year.  Me and Ian are having a hard time catching up to our children though.  They are balls of energy and it has been two days since Christmas and we are still trying to get our house in order with everything put away and all.  We are looking forward to Disneyland and Mexico cruise, but know that as soon as we get back from our vacation, it is back to reality for our family.

Nothing new has changed with the pregnancy.  The nausea is still here, but I feel it subsiding some.  Anyway, hopefully I can write a more exciting entry later.  I will post pictures that we used for our Christmas card of our kiddies.

Have a Happy New Year!

Love, Laura

My First Appointment

Well, my first appointment was just what I expected.  Boring.  In any case, I didn't imagine it to be super exciting either.  This is my third time around so it is the same routine.  I got weighed.  I only put on a couple pounds, but I still weigh about ten pounds less now than I did when I got married...so I am a bit happy.  I hope I don't put on that much weight.  I worked hard to lose it.  Anyway, I got a prescription for the nausea and I will start taking it tonight.  I hope it works. I got a sonogram which was nice.  Even though this is my third time around I never saw a sonogram before with my other two as clear as I saw this one.  It was just like in the pregnancy pictures you see in books.  It was really cool.  It wasn't a 3D one, it was just very clear. If you look at the top of the sonogram, the baby is facing down with its spine curved and its head is on the left of the picture.   I saw the whole body shape.  Anyway, I will post a picture of the two pictures I got in my photo album.  Naomi just loved the picture.  She is so excited and can not wait to see the baby.  We have been talking so much about when she and Owen were babies.  It is so much fun to see her grow so smart.  I can't believe she will be four in April.  Time flies.

Well, before I start crying about my babies growing up, I better get to bed.  It is almost midnight.  love you all.

Happy Holidays!

xoxo, Laura

8 Weeks

Well, this is my first belly shot.  I am officially 8 weeks pregnant.  I am still feeling sick, but it comes with the territory.  Maybe now that school is over for this semester I will feel better since I won't be stressing as much either.

I was looking a bit disheveled, hence no facial shot.

Have a good weekend.  We are going to San Francisco tomorrow.  Yaayy!

Finals

I really don't have anything new to say other than I cannot wait for this semester to be over.  After this I will only have FIVE months until I graduate!  I am tired of college.  I hate the drive back and forth.  My kids probably hate the drive too.  I have three finals left and I am done until February.  I am registered for a winter course in January, but I don't think I am going to take it.  I don't think I need it.

It has been really difficult on me this last month of school because I have been sick almost every morning.  I go to the bathroom hoping that I can relieve my nausea by trying to throw up (gross I know), but it normally doesn't happen.  I am constantly tired and have had the flu twice already.  I am not a happy camper.  Because of finals too, I had to move my appointment from this Friday until next Tuesday, which is fine. I think I would rather have the appointment at the beginning of my first free week.

Anyway, Naomi and Owen are excited for Christmas.  I have been very proud of Owen.  He has not tried taking ornaments off and yesterday was the first day he tried to open a gift.  He and Marcus were unwrapping Socorro's gift from my mom.  They are little stinkers.   The scary thing about it is, is that Owen had huge scissors and was trying to cut the paper off.

Naomi and Owen are only getting a couple things this Christmas from us.  They already have a ton of stuff and they get gifts from other people too.  I get tired of wrapping presents too. I still can't finish the ones we did get them.  I feel like sticking them unwrapped under the tree on Christmas Day before they wake up. But I won't.  It is just that me and Ian are so burned out with school.  We haven't really gotten into the Christmas spirit. We are going to decorate the outside of our house, so I will post some pictures then.

Oh yeah, I am not really showing yet.  I think I am actually losing weight, but I wouldn't know because our scale broke because someone spilled water on it.  I have a tiny bump though that is turning rounder. I will post a preg. pic sometime soon.

Well, have a good week and happy shopping.

xoxo, Laura
