Baby has arrived!

2008-03-13  (21 weeks)
21 Weeks, 1 Day

The baby is getting big and so is my belly.  Neither of my other two have ever gone into the ribs. I think my son did on occasion, but this time around it is constant and it is really uncomfortable.  I have to keep shifting my position to stay comfortable.  My family is loving the belly and I have started wearing some things maternity.  I am still in my normal jeans with the help from my Tummy Belt.  um...not much else.  I can't wait for spring break.  We are planning a trip somewhere, maybe Disneyland again, I am not so sure.

Also, I posted pictures of my 18 week sonogram up in the photo album.

20 Weeks, 1 Day

So, I have officially reached the half way mark.  It has gone by so quickly to say the least.  I love feeling the baby move, especially when I am in class.  My friend told me that she couldn't even tell I was pregnant.  I think people look at me and aren't really sure and don't want to ask.  Anyway, the baby is about the length of a banana now.   Pretty cute.  My next appointment is March 21st.  Just a routine appointment, but maybe then my doctor and I can pick a date to deliver on.  At this point I don't know my delivery date, just my due date.  I had morning sickness AGAIN  this morning.  The whole 9 yards.  My kids have had the stomach flu for two days and it is not fun at all.  Ian and I have felt sick again too, and we just got over the flu.  Not much else to report on...I just wanted to have some sort of update for the big 20 week mark.  By the way, we don't have any name in concrete yet.  We like Mia, Ella, Sarah, or Emme.  The first and last are my favorites.  I like the short names and I like the name Sarah from the Bible. Naomi of course likes Ella because that is Cinderella's real name.  We have about 19 weeks to decide that.

We are starting to talk more and more about the baby coming.  Partially because our oldest keeps asking, "Mom, can we talk about the baby?"  So, we talk about names (its Ella at the moment) and we talk about all of the fun things we will do with her.  Naomi is super excited.  She told me tonight that she wished on a star for a baby girl.  We have bought two outfits and a pair of shoes, per Naomi's request.  She can not wait to dress this baby up. By the way Katie, Naomi told me we need to buy her baby sister bows.  Then she said "well, maybe Kaylie's mommy Katie can make them...www.buyabow.com)  It was really cute.   I think she is going to treat her like a little doll.  It is so sweet how she coos with my stomach and Owen comes up and points at my tummy and says, "baby tummy" and he and Naomi will kiss it over and over.  They are going to be great with the baby.  I am really looking forward to my next visit.  I just love to see that  baby in my tummy.  It has gone by so fast already.  I can't believe I will be 20 weeks this Wednesday.  That is so exciting.  We will more than likely get a new car in August or September.  We have decided to go for a Tahoe.  I love those cars.  We have nice comfortable cars now, but the kids will be scrunched considering they will all be in car seats still.  This was just a fun getaway before I need to get back to my homework.  I just keep telling myself that I will be done with school even quicker than I have this baby and it doesn't seem like this semester will take forever now because I have a lot to look forward to.  Have a fabulous week everyone.

What was I thinking?

My (almost 4 year old) daughter got invited to a friend's birthday party today at Chuck E. Cheese.  We went and it was fine besides that my two year old son came along which is fine until he wants to skip eating lunch all together, walk around barefoot, and then eat birthday cake with his hands.  OMG, he was wild.  My daughter was such a good girl and my son was for the MOST part, but he just turned two and anyone with a two year old knows they are not able to reason yet.  They are determined little people.  So yeah what was I thinking going there alone without my husband?  Hopefully tomorrow when we go and see Disney Princess on Ice it will be less stressful since my husband will be there.

We were gone for two hours only, but I am worn out!  Of course it didn't help that I got woken up early by the city's band who is rehearsing right outside my house. I get migraines easily and when I hear drums and cymbals banging outside our front door my migraines come in an instant. I have tried complaining every year that they practice for the festival, but nobody seems to care. I do not like living right in front of the school.  And....I had nausea and vomitting this morning before I had to leave.  I have a laundry list of complaints, but I will save those for when my husband gets home.  I don't do it often, but today it is necessary.  Poor guy.  hahhaha

Have a good weekend.

xoxo, Laura
