Getting to Know Us Well, I have never done one of these before, but since I have nothing else to do but sit here I'll give it a try.
This will be our third child - a boy - or so we are told. We have a six year old son and a five year old girl already. They are in Kindergarten and First Grade and are playing a very active role in this pregnancy. I can honestly say I have never seen two children be so excited and concerned about someone that they have not even met yet!
My husband and I had not really been trying to get pregnant. It was more of a "if we do great, if not okay too." After the birth of our daughter we never went on any birth control simply because both children had been concieved while on birth control. After a few years we just figured that we were where we were ment to be as a family. I had actually completely given up my secret hope that we would be blessed with another child just months before we found out that we were pregnant.
I really thought this one was going to be just like the other two. I never had so much as a headache with them. This one started out bad -morning sickness- and has just steadily gotten worse -Gaulbladder problems, unstable blood pressure, ect- over time. Between the fatigue, the dizziness, the nassea, the G.B. pain, and now being basically stuck in the house day in and day out sometimes I wonder if I will be able to stay sane until this kid gets here!
Until next time...
My Kids Are Weird:
When we told our children that Mommy was going to have a baby my daughter gasped, slapped a hand over her gapping mouth, spun around to her brother and in a shocked voice exclaimed "ooooooh... Daddy had sex with Mommy!!" When I asked her where she got that from she simply informed me that they said at recess that if adults want a baby the "Daddy has to be real nice and give the Mommy flowers. Then they kiss and the Daddy gives the Mommy a pill to swallow and then (clapping her hands loudly) -BOOM- the Mommy has a baby in her belly!"
While in the doctors office for a routine check up I noticed my son poking and prodding around in the doctors stuff. I asked him what he thought he was doing and he told me in a matter of factly way that he was "lookin' for the button the doc pushes to make that kid a boy. I'm sick of findin' Barbies in my wrestlin' ring!"
