Thank God for bowling night

Oh, thank you God for making bowling night!

I don't know what I would do if I did not have at least one night of "out-of-the-house-fun" per week. Sure I might have to just sit there and watch right now, but I am out of the house and surrounded by adults. Of course they all like to sit around and make fun of how fat I'm getting and which one of them I am gonna get first after this kid gets here. Well better get ready to go. I think Chuck is headed for a six hundred series tonight. The baby just loves hearing all those pins fall. See you all later... You know we don't sleep much anymore! lol

baby shopping with Mary

My daughter and I went shopping today for baby toiletries to take to the hospital. As close attention and care she was taking you could have sworn this was her baby. She is looks at all the lables just to make sure they are "naturally safe." (still not quite sure what that really means lol)

She had the whole thing planned out... First things first - big sister needs lip gloss. Then we had to go pick out just the right see-thru container (not too big, not too little, has to have a removable lid, and has to have a handle so Daddy can grab and run). As we go down the baby isle, she gently places everything inside the container just to make sure that everything fits. We get everything and head to the check-out... As the lady is scanning everything, Mary begins to explain to the lady that she must be very careful and put everything right back in there just the way it was because this is all for her baby brother and it must be perfect. The lady just smiled and told her that it was obvious that she was definatly going to be the best big sister ever. Mary looked at me with a look that should have come straight off a 15 yr old girl and matter of factly stated "See? Told you. I'm gonna be great!"

I can't believe I have been blessed with such a caring and sarcastic little princess! lol!

just thought I would get some sleep tonight

See what I get for thinking. I tried lying down to sleep, and no matter how I rolled, propped, leaned, ect. I could not get comfy. Just as I finally get a spot (belly propped by pillow, head by pillows and blanket, and legs slightly elevated via Chuck's back) this kid decides its time to roll and bounce around like he is in a Moon Bounce or something.

Ever since we went to the U/S appt and found out that it was DEFINATLY a boy, as soon as I get comfy to rest he starts in. It is just a little annoying at first, but it never fails, after about 10 mins it starts to be very uncomfortable. Doc says he is just stretching and rolling so everything is okay. I just really wish that there was something I could do to calm him when I try to rest. Anybody got any ideas? Its getting really old waiting to finally pass out for a little rest.

Getting to Know Us

Well, I have never done one of these before, but since I have nothing else to do but sit here I'll give it a try.

This will be our third child - a boy - or so we are told. We have a six year old son and a five year old girl already. They are in Kindergarten and First Grade and are playing a very active role in this pregnancy. I can honestly say I have never seen two children be so excited and concerned about someone that they have not even met yet!

My husband and I had not really been trying to get pregnant. It was more of a "if we do great, if not okay too." After the birth of our daughter we never went on any birth control simply because both children had been concieved while on birth control. After a few years we just figured that we were where we were ment to be as a family. I had actually completely given up my secret hope that we would be blessed with another child just months before we found out that we were pregnant.

I really thought this one was going to be just like the other two. I never had so much as a headache with them. This one started out bad -morning sickness- and has just steadily gotten worse -Gaulbladder problems, unstable blood pressure, ect- over time. Between the fatigue, the dizziness, the nassea, the G.B. pain, and now being basically stuck in the house day in and day out sometimes I wonder if I will be able to stay sane until this kid gets here!

      Until next time...

My Kids Are Weird:

When we told our children that Mommy was going to have a baby my daughter gasped, slapped a hand over her gapping mouth, spun around to her brother and in a shocked voice exclaimed "ooooooh... Daddy had sex with Mommy!!" When I asked her where she got that from she simply informed me that they said at recess that if adults want a baby the "Daddy has to be real nice and give the Mommy flowers. Then they kiss and the Daddy gives the Mommy a pill to swallow and then (clapping her hands loudly) -BOOM- the Mommy has a baby in her belly!"

While in the doctors office for a routine check up I noticed my son poking and prodding around in the doctors stuff. I asked him what he thought he was doing and he told me in a matter of factly way that he was "lookin' for the button the doc pushes to make that kid a boy. I'm sick of findin' Barbies in my wrestlin' ring!"
