Baby has arrived!

2008-06-08  (37 weeks)
...and waiting...and waiting...

Well, little man, we are still waiting. The past couple of days you have been putting sooooo much pressure on Mommy that I was begining to wonder if we were gonna make it to the next appt. with Doc Simpson! Today, however, has been a very welcome relief. Oh don't get me wrong, you are still pushing down VERY hard, it's just a little less.

Mommy still can't sleep without building a fort out of pillows and blankets. Daddy thinks it's pretty funny. I know this is gonna sound weird, but I can't wait til you get here so I can get some real sleep. I would rather have three hours of sleep at night on my back than five propped up and miserable!

Well, in any case, I can't wait til I get to see your little face! Stay in as long as you need to, but don't be too long!

By The Way....  We settled on your name! Ayden Charles Scott Boggs.

Ayden - because Mary picked it and we all liked it

Charles - after Daddy, Poppy, GreatGrandpa, ect.....

Scott - Grandma Bobbies maiden name (GreatGrandpa Robert)

Boggs - well... cause you're one of us!

Are We There Yet !?!

..... They can call it what they like- but I would not call it "lightening!" Over the past couple of days I have been expirencing some very weird feelings.....

My "Mommy Moods" (as my son likes to call them) have been more abrupt and out of nowhere! They swing wildly out of left field, send me into a crying tantrum, and then leave just as quickly as they arrived. Another thing is the fact that I am definatly feeling Ayden settle down into the pelvis - however his movements have not slowed very much. He is still extremly active and definatly making it hard to breath still. Everything I have read (and past experiences) tells me that I should be breathing easier and he should be moving less. This kid is definatly taking after his Daddy...A big ol' pain in da butt! (Luv ya Chuck!)

And the nesting... Oh my!! I spend pretty much all day now at home with the kids (when they aren't at the pool) doing everything from coloring, to reading, to laundry. You would think that if I had to redo something of the baby's I could do it then right? Wrong! The overwhelming erge to refold onsies, restack stuffed animals, and double check overnight bags doesn't come till middle of the night when I just happen to wake up with a leg cramp! I guess I'm just getting ready for midnight feedings early.

Well, guess I'll quit complaining now. I am gonna try and get some new pics posted soon. Go back to the doc on Tuesday.  See ya then!

Dancing With Ben

Yesterday was the "Hoedown" at school with Ben. The 1st-4th graders have spent the last six weeks learning how to combine music with movement. Ben brought a note home on Monday saying that the parents were invited to come and watch what they have learned. After we got there the kids started laughing at the parents because they tricked us. We weren't there to watch... We were there to dance! Ben kept telling me to "Be careful. Don't drop Ayden!" lol We did the Mexican Hat Dance and the Bunny Hop. Ben had a blast! He thought it was great that he got to "dance with the baby." (he danced around holding onto my belly).

After the Hoedown we ate lunch with Ben and Mary Ann. Her teacher let her sit with us instead of with the Kindy's. She kept asking some of the other kids if they wanted to talk or hug her baby brother. It was sooo cute!

It was a very full morning. Needless to say- Mommy, Daddy, and Ayden headed straight home for a much needed nap!

Ayden-

Your brother is getting sooo big. Yesterday afternoon/evening he spent about two hours just playing ball at the school, riding his bike around town, and frequenting the Ice Cream Shop! He said he is scopping out the town for hangout spots for you two. He definatly can't wait till you get here!
