it has been again a while...i had a few baby scares this past few weeks.
my pregnant friend missed a check up and found out that the baby is already dead in her womb. it was such a distressful week, since we have almost the same due date. the thing is, she was so stressed at work (she's a nurse, how ironic) almost on her toes all day, taking care of the needs of others, forgetting that she herself is carrying a baby. she rarely eats on time and goes home tired. one day, she felt that the baby didnt move the whole day, so she went to her checkup (1 week late) and found that there is no more heartbeat.
it made me want to always feel my baby and do kick counts on an early stage. two weeks ago, i thought that after the prescribed vitamins have been consumed, i can already stop taking them. then i noticed that my baby is not moving around as much. i went to an OB near the building where i worked and she scolded me that the vitamins are to be taken religiously until delivery. it was quite a relief to hear my baby's heartbeat. from then on, i took my vitamins on time, eat properly, make sure that i keep hydrated, do kickcounts (even though my baby can do ten kicks within10 minutes already!) and sleep well.
i also start to talk to my baby as if he/she is already outside me. i hope he/she feels how much love we have for him/her.
i will have my ultrasound next month, after that, im going to start buying baby items. color coordinated of course!

back after checkup
its been quite a while since i logged on... i had a pap smear last week and found out that i have a slight infection. my ob advised me to use a vaginal suppository which is quite yucky...first time i did that kind of medication..... the next day, after going to the bathroom, i found blood in the tissue. i thought i had hemorrhoid but then, my ob told me that there isn't anything wrong with my rectum. true enough, the next day, the blood was gone.
baby is kicking quite frequently nowadays... i love every time i feel it!

first baby kick!
last night, my baby and i were listening to some classical music. i'm trying to get a reaction from him when i felt his subtle kick! i moved the earphone to the left side of my navel, and there was the kick at the right side. i moved it to the right side, and i felt the kick at my left side! that means that my baby is following the sound. he seems to like classical music!
i'm happy that i felt his tiny kicks already even if he is just 18 months. i guess he will be a very active baby. i just hope he won't get tangled up in his umibilical cord.

my first baby blog!!!!
i'm already 17 weeks and 6 days pregnant. that means, i'm on my 18th week tomorrow! yipee!
they say that the baby can already hear sounds, so we listen to classical music and choral ensembles...church music of course! one of the earphone is on my left ear, the right one is on my tummy. i can feel that my baby can hear the music. i feel that my tummy is bloating whenever i place the earphone. i make it sure that the volume is not very loud, otherwise i will risk damaging my baby's hearing.
my OB changed my vitamins from mosvit and folate to natalwiz, caltrate and iberet. i make it sure that i dont take iberet and caltrate together. i take caltrate in the evening, and iberet in the morning. so as i could maximize the benefits and they wouldn't overpower each other.
i'm very excited to have my ultrasound already! i want to know the gender of my baby because we already have boy names and girl names. i feel that my baby is going to be a boy, so i call him marcus... my husband tells me that if the baby is a girl (we'll name her lalaine) the baby will get mad at me for calling her boy names. hihihihi....
