Test Score!!

I just got off of the phone with Homer.  The MCAT test scores were origionally supposed to come out today, but they had changed it last week saying it would be tomorrow afternoon.  Homer wanted to be on the phone when I found out, and since he is going in the field tonight and won't be able to call for another 5 days, we checked it a few minutes ago.  I was shaking entering my password, and I quickly covered up the screen, only showing the test dates.  January 2008 was on there!!!  We both got really quiet and nervous.  So, once my heart started beating again, I uncovered the Verbal Reasoning score.  This is the section I worked the hardest to improve. On my past scores I got a 6, 5, and the most recent score was a 4 (these are out of 15!!).  Luckily, my hard work paid off and I got a 9!!  Much improvement--from 4 to 9!!   So it was looking good.  Physical science was next.  This section was decent for me in the past--7, 9, & 7.  This time I got a 7 again.  This meant I had to have at least a 9 in biology to reach the min acceptance score of 25 for South Alabama.  But, there's this writing section which med schools don't know how to use in an admission evaluation.  The scores go from J to T, T being the best.  The past scores were O, N, & N, so I had improved with my current P (but this doesn't matter anyway).  So, I was really shaking as I was about to uncover the biology score... I made a  9, 7, & 10 on the other tests, so making a 9 was very likely.  This was usually my best section during practice tests... We both started screaming when I uncovered a 9!!!  I had done it!! I had gotten a 25 on the MCAT!! This was the bare min I could get for South AL to consider me for an interview and possibly acceptance!! We're one step closer to staying in Alabama next year!!  I called the admissions office and talked with the dean of admissions. He said they are in the process of reviewing the remaining applications and for me to sit tight until I hear back from them.  The last interviews are March 19, so in a couple of weeks, I will hopefully have had an interview.  Hearing the news cheered Homer up. He said he was having a bad day until now.  So, this will give him some modivation and something to look forward to while he's working the next few days.  So now I just sit and wait... again.  I'll update everyone when I find something out... Until then, have a great day!!

I'm Leaking!!
Ok, so I have this problem...  I'm not sure how long it's been going on b/c now that it's come to my attention, I realize it's been going on at least a week or two.  Ok so here it is...  Last night I took a relaxing bath (not so relaxing for Kaylee Beth b/c she was swimming her heart out while I was in there!).  Then I got out, put my pjs on and was helping my mom smock a dress.  I noticed something felt funny on my breasts and just moved my shirt so it wouldn't touch them.  It seemed to get worse, so I finally pulled my shirt away from my body and looked down... There was two round we spots on my t-shirt--right where my nipples were!!!  Apparently I'm getting ready for my milk or something.  This liquid kept leaking out while I was sitting there. I mean, it wasn't like a faucet or anything, but it was made about a nickel size circle, which was definately big enough!!  (Sorry if this is too much info for you guys, but I just thought I'd share yet another joy of pregnancy).  I thought this was early to start producing stuff, but I guess I was wrong.  I just can't imagine what it's gonna be like after I have her and actaully get my milk.  I think it's gonna be running down my stomach if it keeps this up!!

Pregnant Brain
Today my dad and I came back from Atlanta.  After breakfast, we started packing and loading the car.  While my dad was doing some last minute things for Nana, I was talking with Papa on the couch.  I had packed a bag of snacks to take with me for the ride so my dad wouldn't have to stop everytime I had a craving for something or was hungry (Yes, I realize it's only a 3 hour drive!!).  So... Papa asked if I got my bag of goodies.  So I hopped up and put that with my other things. Then my dad walks in and asks if I got my Diet Coke out of the fridge.  So I grabbed that too, thinking, "Why have I forgotten all of these things??"   So after my final trip to the bathroom, I decided to check my room to see if I had forgotten anything in there.  Nope.  I was good to go!  So on the road we went.  With about 30-40 minutes left on the trip, Nana calls me and asks what I had forgot to get.  I was drawing a blank-surely I couldn't have forgotten yet another thing!  She said she found my purse in the kitchen!!  You would think a woman would remember her purse!!  It's not like this is a new accessory to me!!  I've had one with me at all times for almost 10 years!!  Luckily I had talked to Homer this morning and so my phone wasn't in my purse.  So I still have that with me for when he can call me back.  She said she would overnight it so I would have it Tuesday.  My dad isn't very excited about it, but hey, what can I do?  I'm not driving 6 hours to pick it up!!  My only excuse is that I have the pregnant brain--and I'm sticking to it!!

Finished the letters

Today I finished painting the last part of her name.  I am pretty pleased with the way they turned out.  I haven't hung them b/c I didn't get the ribbon yet.  It took a long time to paint them and by the time I was finished, I didn't even want to think about shopping for ribbon!!  My dad and I are leaving for Atlanta tomorrow morning to visit my Nana and Papa.  It'll be nice to get to see them b/c we don't get to see them much b/c my granddad is on oxygen and can't travel much.  They hadn't seen me with a belly; just with the extra fat around my waist and hips.

Since I've been working out with my friend Mary Beth this week, I realized I need to buy more workout gear.  However, I was only able to find some sports bras. I may have to look into ordering some maternity gym pants b/c I already bought some in a large that I'm not sure I will be able to wear for much longer.  When I was paying for it, the cashier noticed my belly and asked what I was having.  This was the first time a woman stranger made a comment about me being pregnant.  The guy at Zoe's said something a couple of weeks ago, but I know that women tend to wait until they are sure it couldn't just be stomach fat (nothing is worse than someone asking you when you're due when you're not pregnant!!).  So I must look pregnant enough for a woman to comment.  So that's all the exciting news for today...
