31 weeks So I am past 31 weeks! Having a nice time with Mam and Kate. Eric is having a great time in Canada - it won't be long till he is back now.
Other than that, I have next scan at end of August (date not set yet). I have been in contact with three women who had babies in Hospiten (hospital where we want to go) and they are all very happy with the care that they received there. One woman had a 5 kilo baby naturally i.e. not caesarean there, which is a HUGE relief to me as I had been warned to be careful with private hospitals, that they tend to push you into having a caesarean so that they get more money. But that is obviously not the case with Hospiten having heard this story.
My friend Natalia is a photographer and she wants to take pregnancy shots of me. I am not too sure what they will entail... I told her as long as she can photoshop out my cellulite, I am game! ha ha. She is very creative and talented so I guess they will be beautiful, and a very nice thing to keep for the future.
That's all. Will put up next scan pics in a few weeks. xx

Almost 30 weeks I haven't been on in ages, sorry. I am quite busy, and now Eric has decided to go to Canada, we are busy getting ready for that.
I won't be too lonely when Eric is away as I have lots of visitors coming; Mam arrives tomorrow Thursday @ 20,45 as does John and Dylan for two weeks. Monday Kate arrives as well. It is great because a ton of my friends here happen to be away at the moment.
Eric and I are going nursery shopping this evening, as I think I would be too stressed to leave it until he gets back. We are going to Malaga, Toys R Us. I am so excited...
Other than that, no real news. I am 30 weeks tomorrow. I will put up new pics of the ever-growing bump to mark the occasion!! ha ha. I cannot believe it, I always thought about reaching the 30-week mark, that it would seem really close to the due date, which it does. Although with the heat here this summer, I think reaching the 34-week mark i.e. the end of summer will be even better now!

Hospiten - outcome! Well, we went to Hospiten yesterday.
We had a tour of the maternity rooms and the place where the baby will be washed and given his vaccines etc.
We then waited quite a while before we saw our gynaecologist. He asked me all the routine questions, took my blood pressure, my weight and a scan of the baby.
The baby's head is measuring 30 weeks already (eek!) and all the rest of him is measuring just a few days under 28 weeks. He now weighs 1.153 kilos, which is 2.5 pounds. He said all looks very good.
It was a very impersonal experience compared to our usual doctor. Very in and out, which I didnt expect but I suppose it was because there were so many people there.
Anyway, we got photos. I will put them up later. They are not great, they were more for measuring all the parts rather than to get a nice picture for us, which is what our other doctor would do... but the priority is that we know he is healthy so we can't complain really.

Hospiten Eric and I have an appointment with our new gynaecologist on Friday @ 18,15 and at the same time, we will be taking a tour of the hospital where I hope to give birth. Eek! If we like this doctor, we will probably stick with him from now on. If we don't, there are two others in the hospital that we can choose from.
The nursery is coming along nicely. The shelves are up, and the cot is assembled. We are really happy with the choice of colour.
The antenatal class was cool. We met some nice people, and one couple we kind of knew beforehand. I came away with a DVD that the midwife warned me NOT to show to Eric... ha ha... it must be a bit gruesome!
