Driving Lessons

My new goal is to have completed 25 driving lessons with Eric by the 30th April. I had my first one last night and I loved it! We found a road that has already been built, but is not in use yet, and it even has some hills and a little roundabout at the end  so its perfect for practise.

Last night I learned how to start without chugging, change gears from 1st to 2nd and back again and a 3 point turn (sort of). Tonight I need to learn how to brake without causing my future passengers to go flying out the window...

Back from Ireland

I came back from Ireland last night. I had a great time there, but I am glad to be back.

I have my midwife appointment on Friday @ 4,30 pm and I have blood tests early next week! :( Not looking forward to those.

Other than that, I feel great, and Eric and I cannot believe I am in my 9th week now. Only 5 more weeks and I will be in my second trimester, and I can relax more then. I will be allowed go back to yoga then too, which I am very happy about, as I miss it. (I am not allowed do yoga in first trimester).

No other news. Oh yeah, this week, the embryo went from being an embryo to a foetus. I am attaching a pic of what an 8-week-old foetus looks like.

Embryo @ 7 weeks

This is what the embryo looks like right now.

Next week, it is not called an embryo anymore, it is called a foetus.

Second scan

Today we went for our second scan. We saw our little "lentil"; it is 10mm in length and has a super-fast heartbeat! Everything looked fine and in the words of my doctor, I am "doing a fantastic pregnancy".

He has now sent me for blood tests, which I must do next week. This I am NOT looking forward to... I am terrified of needles, but I guess I better get used to them!

My next scan is @ 12 weeks. At this appointment, we will be able to see the foetus properly, and I guess we will be able to take home some pictures. I will be sure to put them up here then.
