Baby has arrived!

Update

I feel the baby moving every day now, especially at night time. I love it.

We have started buying a few bits and pieces now; some babygros, vests etc. and we got a changing mat, blankets, sheets, etc. Eric is putting up shelves in the hall cupboard (my mam's idea) so that we have some more storage. It is all so exciting, I would say I have looked at the bag of baby clothes we have about ten times already!

I am 18 weeks tomorrow. Only 2 more weeks till our next scan and we get it confirmed that we are having a little boy. I am still scared to buy anything blue...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I went back to yoga two weeks ago and my god was it hard! I am not sure how long I will stick it out for, but I have paid for the next 3 sessions so I will see after that. I might see about doing a pregnancy yoga class, as this would probably be more suitable.

Baby Moving
Last night, I came home from having dinner with Josephine and Graham and felt the baby move for the first time. Well, I thought I had felt it a few times before but I wasn't sure. This time I was positive. It was amazing!

Nearly 17 weeks

Kevin, Emily and Baby Brendan have left now and I miss them a lot. But Josephine and Graham arrived on Monday and they are staying for one week, so I am delighted about that.

All fine at the moment. The time is flying by. I am 17 weeks tomorrow. Nearly at the half way mark. Eric and I are going shopping tomorrow to buy some maternity wear for me, as I am rapidly running out of clothes to put on! It is quite scary!

Nothing else to report. x

It's a boy, probably...!

Well, we had a great scan yesterday. The doctor said he is 80% sure that our baby is a boy; I am still in shock! I really cannot believe it. Anyway, we are both delighted; we got to see his spine, ribs, two arms flailing about, his legs kicking away, his face, his head and his belly button! I have pictures which I will upload some time today. They are much better than last time I think.

As for the baby's health, he is perfect - he is the right size, everything is fully formed and the doctor said my weight was very good this time. So we are very happy about that.

So basically we need to wait another 4 weeks (until the 3rd June) to know for certain that the baby is a boy but until then, we are just going to refer to the baby as a "he".
