This week the baby is up to 8.5 oz and is 6.5 inches long. I have definitely started to feel some movement in there, but nothing too strong. Its kind of like a constant rolling motion. I have a feeling that this baby is going to be very active and in a few weeks I will be feeling it very clearly! I really can't wait!
I had my monthly doctor's appointment this week and all is well with baby and I. My blood pressure is up, but the doctor said not enough to be too concerned, so we will continue to monitor it. I gained 4 pounds, for a total of 7 since my first appoinment. She said this is exactly where she wants me to be, so if I can stick to gaining around the same for the second half of my pregnancy we will be right on track. I had to take another blood test, a quad screen they called it, which tests for risk of birth defects. It will tell us if the baby is a higher risk for down's syndrome and spina bifida, along with other birth defects. Again they had issues with drawing blood from my arms and had to take it from my hand. The phlebtomist told me I need to start doing free weights to build up the veins in my arms. I am starting to get concerned about what they are going to do in the hospital for IV's, etc...
I did find out some exciting news, that my next ultrasound will be on Nov. 26th. We only have to wait 10 more days to see our little peanut again! I hope that we can get a good view without seeing the parts that we we don't want to see...
Last weekend the Blake Shelton concert was AWESOME! I will post my picture with him this weekend, he is so sweet and totally cute!! We had a great time going out of town for the evening. We sure didn't win anything at the casino, but didn't lose much either which I guess is a good thing! Next big concert is tomorrow night, Keith Urban and Gary Allan (who is my FAVE!!). I am listening to their CD's today to get myself all pumped up! Not that it takes much when getting ready to see Gary. I am really used to seeing him in small venues so it is interesting to see him interact with the big crowds, like when he was on tour with Rascal Flatts a few years ago. Not quite the same as the little places, but I am glad to see him for sure!
The kitchen has officially started to be torn apart, most of the cabinets are gone and the rest come out this weekend along with the walls and the floor. I think Clint is very antsy to get this going. He has been slightly on edge all week! Cross you fingers that all goes well tomorrow and that the floor underneath is level so he does not have to do a bunch of work to get the ceramic tiles to work.
Everyone have a wonderful Turkey day! Remember you only have a short 39 days left to do your Christmas shopping!!
