Baby has arrived!

2008-04-06  (39 weeks)
No baby yet!

Baby Pream is continuing to hold out on us!  Its now Sunday afternoon and we are still waiting for baby.  He/she is still very active, moving around in there a whole lot.  I think I am really going to miss that part of being pregnant, even though its really starting to hurt when they move now.  I don't think they can move a muscle without me feeling it.  Other than that I am feeling pretty good, just huge!  Its hard to move around and to get up from sitting or lying in one position for too long.   My little cold went away a few days ago so thing are going well!

I really can't wait to meet baby! Holding them in my arms will be worth every little problem that I have gone through with this pregnancy.  I consider myself to be very lucky that I have had a relatively issue free pregnancy.  The diabetes hasn't been too bad to manage and turned out to be a good thing in that it helped me realize that I needed to eat better.  I think that is what saved me from gaining a ton of weight.  Hopefully that will go away quickly once baby is delivered.

The plan is to go into the hospital on Tuesday night at 7:30 pm.  I am not sure if the plan is to go on medication to induce right away or if they will try to break my water first?  I guess we will find out when we get there!   Hopefully Baby Pream will be here on Wednesday sometime!  I can't believe its really almost over.  I will let you all know what happens later on this week.  Until then, wish us luck and keep us in your prayers.

No news yet... still waiting!

As of my doctor's appointment yesterday I am still not dilated at all!  The plan now is for me to be induced next Tuesday night, April 8th.  I am still crossing my fingers that baby comes on its own before then.  I am still not sure on how I feel about being induced, but if the doctor thinks its best for baby then that is what I will do.

Until then we will be waiting... come on baby, we are ready and waiting for you!!

Today's "excitement"

This morning I had my normal Friday ultrasound, but unlike all the other ones this one my stubborn child decided to fail!  Even with poking and prodding it refused to move or do practice breathing even once while I was in the clinic.  That along with the fact that my blood pressure was through the roof sent me to the hospital for further monitoring.  I got to St Johns and was put on the fetal monitor right away, baby's heartrate was just fine.  Then we had to wait for an ultrasound and baby decided to wake up from their nap and move around enough to let us pass this time.  They checked my cervix again and I was still not dilated at all so the doctor decided against inducing me today and sent me home!  It was an exhausting, stressful morning!    The nurse made it very clear that if I have a feeling that something is not right or my kick counts are not where they should be I should call them right away.  She said to always on the side of being overly cautious... Now its back to waiting for baby.  I will see what they say at my appointment on Tuesday!

No news yet...
Tomorrow I will be 38 weeks and no news yet!  At my doctor's appointment yesterday I still at 0.  This may be a very long two weeks, wishing that baby was here!  Baby and I are doing well.  My back is starting to hurt more and more so I am staying off my feet as much as possible.  Clint has a cold this week so I am hoping he feels better before baby comes, it would not be fun for him to be sick on top of all the stress of baby arriving.  I am still feeling like it will happen next week sometime... we just have to wait and see!
