On the mend
So, I'm finally getting a bit better after battling this doosie of a bug.  I had a sleepless, hell-night two nights ago followed by a day that consisted of staying in bed trying to loose myself in a Harry Potter book. The good thing was that I didn't have a fever any time I checked...it was actually low...don't know what that was about 'cause it felt like I was burning up. But I am definitely on the mend now and hopefully will be out and about in another couple of days!

We finished the screenplay! Its now registered and we can start sharing it and getting notes and feedback on it. Then its on to revisions and, hopefully, a reading here soon. Also, Joe wants to submit it to some screen writing contests, etc. So, yeah, that's exciting and we have a great sense of accomplishment with it.

The baby was moving so much last night. I was lying on my side and felt him so I picked up my shirt and Joe and I just watched him move and kick the side of my tummy for several minutes! He's definitely bigger, stronger and more active...its so great!

We were up later last night trying to think of names we liked, but still haven't found great possibilities. Its a lot harder than I would have thought...either that, or we're just picky! Heehee...But, come on,  this is our son we're talking about, so I think we're allowed to be a little picky!

Sick again! 1st draft finished!
So my "little cough" has turned into a full-blown cold. I thought I'd get off easy this time because it seemed so harmless initially, but, no such luck. My body is doing double duty now..."Baby and Bug." I just need to monitor that I don't run too high a fever 'cause that could be bad for our little boy if the temp goes over 102F. We don't have a thermometer, but Joe is going to go out and get one here soon. I just started feeling the heat and my throat and nose symptoms today.  Joe is taking good care of me as always. He's making biscuits for me right now. I just want to stay in bed and read. I think that's going to take up the weekend.

So, the good news last. We finished the first draft of our screenplay today! Big Yea! We haven't done a whole read through of it yet 'cause my throat is hurting and I'm congested...can't read out loud, but we'll get to it soon. Then its on to revision #1 and registering it with the WGA (Writers Guild of America) and the Library of Congress.

Yeah, that's the news for today. Check back later for updates, peeps! Oh, today is also the start of week #23 of pregnancy (even though the ticker says its still 22).

Love,
Anya

Iron Man
We just went to see a screening of Iron Man tonight and our son was kicking up a storm. It is a pretty loud movie with lots of great special effects. So I'm sure he was wondering what was going on. I think tonight, even after the movie ended, was the most our little boy has moved yet!

The movie was good. I recommend seeing it...pretty tight and super effects...funny in parts too!

Update-

Joe is done with his labor union workshop that lasted all weekend. He said he learned a lot and it was definitely worth it, but he is also a bit overwhelmed with information and tired after the intense three days. He's off at an audition right now.

We picked up writing our script again today...a few days off seems like forever. It's onto the third and final act! The completion of the first draft of our first feature-length script isn't too far off! Yea!!

I was depressed for some reason yesterday. There is just so much going on, not only in our personal lives and in our families', but also all the time in the news...there are such major things happening in the world and in the country...it can feel overwhelming and depressing to process it all.  I know the hormones were getting to me yesterday too...just felt like crying so much. That hasn't really happened before during the pregnancy. I listened to music and chatted online with Lara for a long time and that helped a lot.

I've been exercising every day since my last checkup and really watching everything that goes into my mouth...portion and quality control. Lots of water too! My muscles were sore and stiff yesterday from the yoga and walking. After my walk I was so tired that I didn't even stretch...just sat on the couch and thought I was going to fall asleep right there. I made myself get some food first, though, and then crashed for an hour.

I feel like I might be carrying another bug. I hope I don't get sick and that this is just a result of the cooler air last night. I woke up coughing a little and feeling like I might be getting a bit of a sore throat...we'll see. I told Joe that maybe I caught it chatting over the internet with my sister in Boston...she's been sick for almost a week. He said: Sympathy Sickness!

Joe gave me a shoulder massage before bed which helped me fall asleep. Its such an operation to get into position for sleeping...pillow between the knees, small towel under my belly (pillows are too big, but it is uncomfortable to have nothing supporting my ever-expanding tummy, so we figured out the hand towel remedy!), my foam pillow securely under my neck and head, my ear plugs in, and then the blanket over everything. I have to readjust everything every time I go to pee or turn onto my other side...and I have to move slowly because it hurts otherwise. Lots of grunting.

K, that's it I think. More later. Pics too!
