Baby has arrived!

Moving right along.  We are in week 13.

Morning sickness has still not gone away! blah

Jeff was out of town last week so I played the role of single mom from Sunday-Saturday afternoon.  It was tough.  Luckily Eric let me catch a little more sleep on most days!  I need to say that we are super lucky (knock on wood) that he does not get into things.  he does well to eat his snack, drink his milk cup and watch tv on those days I need to catch a little more sleep.

I was an emotional mess last Monday.  And Eric gave lots of hugs.  I got my emotions in check by working out and taking deep breaths.  I asked the OB on Tuesday if there was anything I could do to (besides medicine) to get my hormones regulated and she said it made sense that I was emotional because I'd hit the 10-12 week hormonal high.  She said I should start feeling a little more leveled off as the hormones went down.

Spring break for a lot of kids this week.  Easter is super early and St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow.  No big celebrating St. Pat's day really...we may wear green, woot woot.  Easter will be at my parents house after church on Sunday.  YAY.

We finally got an UltraSound this past Thursday and found out that we are due September 22.  It's nice to have a date to look forward to.  The UltraSound tech (the same woman from the pregnancy with Eric, she remembered me) said that the placenta is above the baby so I won't feel movement quite as early as I did with Eric.  jeff and Eric came to the doc with me for the u/s.  Eric wasn't all that interested until we told him that he would see the baby on the tv.  (He's really into watching the tv and will even bring the remote to me when the tv is off.) So Jeff picked him up a few times to see the tv screen.  I think he may understand better when the baby actually looks like a baby! giggle

I like reading the "current" info in my pregnancy books too.

Been tired lately but trying to put my feet up each day when Eric naps.  He is still awake a few times each night so a complete night of sleep is rare!

Morning sickness has been ok.  I have only puked 3 times but feeling nauseous more than that.  I have found (like my first pregnancy) that the toughest time for my nausea is between lunch and dinner.  I try to remember to eat in between those times but sometimes forget and sometimes it just doesn't help.

Still able to sleep on my tummy.  Wonder when that will change?

That's it for today!

Had a terrible bought of morning sickness yesterday!  I don't remember it being that bad when I was pregnant with Eric.  When I woke up in the morning, I felt rocky.  Threw up bile in the sick.  YUCK! Watched 2 girls I normally watch on days off from school.  Felt a little better as I took the 2 girls and Eric to an open gym type PAT activity.  Was feeling okay so I had a diet Cherry 7Up and a peach yogurt.  The girls left and I put E down for nap.  Had to grab his trash can, got sick in it and made it to the toliet only to get sick a few more times.  Laid around all afternoon, dry heaved a bit.  Promised a friend I would go to her Pampered Chef party in the evening so I dragged myself up to look halfway decent though I felt like death warmed over.  On the way, i stopped at the maternity store in the mall to buy more Preggie Pops (the leftover ones seemed to help a little during the day) so I bought two more containers of them.  Laid around and ate a little at PC party.  Really started to feel better.  Then on the way home felt a little rocky but slept really well.

This morning, thank goodness, I felt much better.

Crossing my fingers this won't be a frequent occurance!!!

Since I did an online journal for Eric, I think I will do one for this peanut, too.  Things probably won't be as detailed here as they were in Eric's journal as he is two and doesn't always let me do what I want to do! hehe

We had been trying since February with no luck.  I charted my temps the whole month of October, nothing.  Period at the beginning of Novemeber and then again at the beginning of December.  Ok, I was thinking this just wasn't meant to be and we needed to take a break from charting, etc.  Hubby could tell it was stressing me out and I am NOT a fun person to be around when stressed out!

Period was due Jan 3.  No show but I thought my body was just being wacky.
Jan 17th when she still wasn't here, test.  Since the second line didn't pop up immediately, I tossed it in the trash.  About a half hour later, getting ready for bed and from the trashcan was a positive test.  hmmm odd.  Next day, take the two girls with me I was babysitting (and Eric of course) and we ran through the Dollar Store for more tests.  I sent them to the next aisle over and grabbed a few.  While they ate lunch, I tested, another positive! YAY!  Could it be?  Went to get my eyebrows waxed that evening and ran by Walgreens to get a "real test" as if paying more would give me a different result!  Another positive.

Blood test on Tuesday Jan 22 and nurse called with a positive result on Wednesday.  First appointment with the OB is next week, Feb 7 and we aren't telling my parents until Valentine's Day.

We aren't sure when we're due yet. (But I had to put something for the site, so I will readjust when the OB meaures, etc.)

Crossing my fingers for a happy and healthy pregnancy!
