32 Weeks now - 8 or less to go!!

Pre-natal class last nite was interesting.  The teacher made all the husbands draw up a female body and with the names of body parts, had to draw the body and insert the parts where they thought they belonged.  And to my surprise they did much better then expected!  Probably actually better then I could have - scary!  We watched a video of a birth, learned how to count contractions and about the mucus plug.  It's amazing, you think you go into these classes knowing pretty much everything there is to know - and wow - so much to learn still in these remaining weeks.

I think this weekend I'll begin to wash the baby clothes that I have and get Marshall's bag ready.  I've heard about so many babies being born early lately that it's got me thinking I should start to prepare.  Today I heard about another baby being born on the Hwy in a truck - that is scary.

Tonite I was able to touch my belly and feel Marshall.  I think I touched a hand or foot and when I did he kicked/punched back.  Daddy was able to feel a few of them!  We've been able to video tape a few times in the last few weeks, the kicks and punches - that is incredible and surreal!

Oh ... I can't wait!!

I felt Marshall hiccup for the first time last nite.  That was neat!  Lasted for about 12 mins.

I think his head is down most of the time now as the kicks/punches have shifted from where I usually would feel them, as well as where we hear the heartbeat at bedtime.

5 Weeks left of work for sure, possibly 7 - depending on how I feel at the end of the 5 weeks.  I know that I'll be awfully busy when the baby is born - but I can't wait to stop working, stop commuting and begin a whole new adventure.

Tonite is our first pre-natal class.  Getting so excited!

Coming into week 31 now.

Not much new to report.  Belly is growing bigger.  It's getting hard to trim my toe nails, tie shoes or bend over period.  2 weeks ago I had the stomach flu and I think this week I got a touch of something again.  Been sick a few times this week, including this morning - what an awful feeling.  Heartburn has been unreal, especially at bedtime.  Oh and the swollen ankles and sore feet haven't been fun either.  Sure glad I'm not carrying through the entire summer!

Blood pressure is still perfect!  YAY!  Feeling lots of kicks/punches these days - that makes up for everything - well - just about everything!

I had heard about a service in the area that rents out Ultrasonic Doppler Fetal Heart Detectors.  How cool is that - there is always someone out there that thinks of everything.  So ... I rented one .... curiousity got the better of me.  It arrived today and we tried it out immediately and we found Marshall's heart beat straight away.  It actually works!!  I am so thrilled!

Now ... only if I had Tom Cruise's money to rent/buy an ultrasound machine so that I could also take a peek at you every nite before going to bed.
