I Feel Like I've been Runover!
Sorry, but today has been miserable. I got maybe 45 minutes of sleep last night. I couldn't sleep through the contractions because they hurt so bad. It now hurts to walk because I'm so sore. I feel like I've been beat up, or even runover by a car! I was able to sleep some today, so of course I got nothing done that needed to be. I HAVE to have sleep though. I'm resting up for labor, so I just look at it that way. You got to sleep sometime! Randy is not getting any sleep either because of me. He has started to get really bad migraines. We ended up missing the last childbirth class last night. Oh well.......we had all the brownies to ourselves. LOL.......Just trying to stay positive.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I have to go to a breastfeeding class (#3) at WIC. And we have another appointment after that. We're going to try and get a good night's sleep. Thursday is my next doctor appointment. I'm not getting my hopes up, but maybe there will be some progress.....

Labor or Not.....Not!!!
It's 2:45 am. I have been having strong Braxton Hicks contractions almost all day. For awhile there we thought I might have to go to the hospital. From 7-8 pm I had them exactly 4 minutes apart for the whole hour! At exactly 8, they became farther apart. I would have like 3 or 4 an hour.  Now they're starting up again, but there is no real pattern. Maybe something will happen soon. My baby shower is this Saturday!
Well, we finally got to go Christmas shopping last night. Now, we have most of it out of the way. We were able to get the kids what they wanted on their lists excpet for a couple "big" things.....a laptop computer is just not in the budget right now. LOL We were able to get the baby a few things too. We got him some winter outfits...Randy picked them out....and a nice, warm coat along with a hat and mittens. It's soooo cute!
The computer crashed last night. Something is wrong with the hard drive. I lost all my graphics and pictures I had saved to use on here and on my website. :( It looks like we will have to get a new one. We are using a "backup" one now, it doesn't have near as much memory, so it's slow to me. I'm glad we have it though, or I would not have been able to make anymore entries.....
Tomorrow is our last childbirth class. We are supposed to bring snack. I was thinking about making brownies or something. Mmmm! Now I'm gonna get hungry, I better stop. my appetite has been huge! It's like I can't get full....weird.
Well, I'll write about the class tomorrow......

My Last Ultrasound
Yesterday was such a busy day, I had no time to write. When we woke up yesterday morning everything was covered with ice. But it ended up being a very sunny day. We went to my first appointment at 9:45. I saw a different midwife....Kim. My blood pressure was a little high for me again...126/80. Not as good as my usual 110/72. They said it was still ok though. I have also gained 3 more pounds...ugh! Then, they found protein in my urine, and had to run some tests (which were NOT pleasant), all for it to really turn up negative.....but I'm thankful for that! I go back next week and will be meeting another midwife (there are 5 in all). So, 2 down, 3 to go!
Later, I had my last (sniffle) ultrasound. We got lots of pictures, but they didn't turn out too well, even being 4-D. She said he is so "smashed", it's close to impossible to get a good shot now. He weighs 6 pounds 7 ounces. I only weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. when I was born! Everything still looks great (ventricles were measuring 15-17 mm), and she said she thinks everything will be perfectly fine!!!! We can't wait. I feel a little sad though....that was the last time we will "see" him until he's born. I'm so anxious and excited! Well, I'll write later!

~Need A Job?~
Being a mom is a tough job but someone's got to do it, right? As wonderful as being a mother can be, let's face it: if the position had been described to you properly, you probably would have reconsidered your maternal instincts. Here is a humorous look at being a mother that was recently forwarded to pregnancy-info.net.

POSITION: Mother, Mom, Mama

JOB DESCRIPTION: Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an often chaotic environment.
Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call.
Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The rest of your life.
» Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5.

» Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf.

» Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers.

» Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects.

» Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks.

» Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the next.

» Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices.

» Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

» Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product.
Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.
POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION: Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.
WAGES AND COMPENSATION: Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent.
When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.
BENEFITS: While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your cards right.
