When two sets of blueprints -- one from the father and one from the mother -- are followed, a unique product results. In your case, by one chance in 400 million, that unique product was you.
-- Alan F. Guttmacher
Sometimes people are casual about conception. After all, babies are born every second; what's the big deal?
But when you stop to consider the millions of perfect connections needed to form a child, you realize the miraculous nature of pregnancy. Every part of your child -- heart, lungs, fingernails, eyelashes, and so on -- requires a different blueprint. At every step everything must go just right in order for this unique product, your child, to come into being healthy and whole. Clearly this child is meant to be.
Affirmation: My child is a miracle!

Braxton Hicks HURTS!!! It's 5:45 am and I'm up with some awful BH contractions. They are the worst I have ever felt. Now, the sun's coming up and it's almost time to wake everyone up (poor Randy just fell asleep). Looks like I'll be sleeping during the day again today.......I have to go grocery shopping first though.....I have the strongest craving for some sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits......and I hate eggs!

~OH THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL....~ Brrrrr!!!! It's COLD! It has been raining all day, and it's below freezing now....there's also a chance for snow and ice. We still made it to our 4th childbirth class tonight. That was an experience. The roads are slick and wet....no fun to drive in. I have felt good today, but hadn't ate since this morning, because I took a mid-day nap :0) At the class tonight we took a loooong tour of the hospital, and I ended up getting dizzy and had to be wheeled around in a wheelchair. The teacher grabbed me some snacks so I would stop shaking and feeling dizzy....I got so hot, and then so cold. Just another one of my spells I guess.....I should have ate! At least I didn't pass out this time! :0) It was so embarrassing! But oh well, I am 37 weeks this week (Yay!), everyone else in the class isn't due until January or February.
In class we went over reasons for a c-section, vaccuum and forceps delivery, episiotomy, and pushing. Also, we are the only ones in the class having a boy! Everyone went around and told what they were naming their baby. They said Aydan Emmanuel was a beautiful name!
The hospital is so nice. The labor/delivery rooms are huge! They have a big bathroom, tv with cable, a sofa bed, hospital bed, and rocker. Plus, lots of stuff for baby. The postpartum rooms have the same things, but are smaller. Baby can room in with you too! We looked at the nursery, waiting rooms, etc. Whew.....nap time again! 24 DAYS TILL DUE DATE!!!

~My Accomplishments~ Wow! I feel great today!!! I have had so much energy and have really accomplished alot! I got ALL the baby clothes, blankets, etc. washed, I washed all the dishes, washed ALL the dirty clothes (like 6 loads), changed and washed the sheets on the bed, organized the baby's stuff, started packing for the hospital, worked on the baby book, decorated the downstairs bathroom (and cleaned it), cooked supper, and even tweezed my eyebrows!!! Whew....I feel like the energizer bunny....I'm still looking for something else to do. Physically I feel great today! My feet and ankles are EXTREMELY swollen now from being on my feet all day. They have never been so swollen, ugh! I'm resting now with my feet up while writing this....that usually makes it go away. Randy's going to paint my toenails tonight....so sweet. I'm going to go get the baby's tub out of the box and try to get those shelves put up tonight!!! I'll probably write again.....gotta do something with all this energy!!!
