14 days old already

Sunday 11th May - Owen 5 days old
I began to bleed quite heavily this morning after my shower. My back was also a bit painful. Midwife Carol said to observe bleeding contact ward 3 if it persisted. It continued at times during the day and i felt a bit lightheaded at teatime and then contacted ward. I went in for a check up at 1opm and my temperature was found to be high 37.7. I was seen by doctor and had blood tests performed. I was prescribed antibiotics and sent home.
Monday 12 th May
Owen slept for 6 hours again after 3am feed! I'm feeling bit better although had some more bleeding trickling after shower.
Thursday 15th May
I've had some abdominal and back pains similiar to endometriosis the last couple of days so Dr Maclean arranged for me to have a scan this morning to see if there was anything left behind after the birth. The midwife performed an internal scan and thought there was some placenta left near the fundus but the consultant Dr Evans scanned me on the top of my stomach and said it was infected debris not placenta. I was pleased as i didn't want to have an operation. I have to continue with the antibiotics. Kirsteen the midwife is coming to see me tomorrow. My bleeding isn't too bad and the pain is less severe today. I'm taking the boys to my mum and dad's to spend the night. Owen is going to sleep at about 11pm then sleeping for about 4 hours and feeding then going back to sleep again. The other night he slept for 6 hours in a row! Ross is very good with his baby brother and gives him kisses which is so cute!
Tuesday 20th May - Owen 14 days old!
Hello again,
Can't believe that Owen is 14 days old already! He is doing really well, sleeping for up to 7 hours in a row some nights. Last night he didn't go to sleep until 2am! Angie the midwife thinks he is having a growth spurt as he breastfed alot last night. I'm finished my antibiotics and the bleeding seems to be lessening. My uterus is still palpable and slightly tender, i'll be reviewed again on Friday. Ross loves his new baby brother and often kisses him still. My mum came round this morning which was a great help.
