Here's another one!

I like this one=) Wish i could make them bigger for you! This is just an online picture I found of a 14 week old fetus so you get an idea of what our bun looks like.

Also, our baby weighs approximately 1.52 ounces or 43 grams. and is 3.42 inches or 8.7 cm long- according to pregnancy.org. Baby is measured from the top of the head to his/her little tooshie- the legs aren't included in the measurements for some reason. Interesting!

Oh yeah- PLEASE sign the guestbook if you're checking in on baby bawulski- I would really appreciate it! After the baby is born I would like to print out all of my journal entries and the guestbook so that I can add it to a baby book.

If you're getting emails from babycrowd saying "visit my online journal"- I'm sorry- i'm not sending those! The website does it automatically and it's sort of annoying.

fun little factoids =)

I was just curious so I looked up online images of a 14 week old fetus so that I could imagine what our little baby looks like in there Here's the pic that I found!

The best and worst moments of my life so far...

Hey everyone! Ok, first things first- I had my doctors appointment on Friday! I weighed in at 133 (i've gained like 8-10 pounds so far...) and we heard the heartbeat for the first time! It was so wonderful- I cried and even Brad got teary-eyed=) It was so exciting! The doctor also showed us pictures that show about how big baby is and what his/her tiny hands look like.=) It was great=)

Next, I had another doctor's appointment today just to have my annual pap since we couldn't fit it in on Friday. The mid-wife asked us if before she did the exam if we wanted to hear the baby's heart beat again. Of course we said yes- I was hoping she would ask! So she got the doppler and tried for a few minutes but couldn't find it. She said that she would get another doppler since that one had a lot of static. She came back with another one and searched for another probably 5 solid minutes. She couldn't find the heartbeat. She was going all over the place and couldn't find it. I told her "You're making me nervous..." and when i looked at her she clearly looked nervous. Then she started asking me if i've had any cramping or bleeding. I told her no and she said "well, i'm going to see if they can get you in for an ultrasound today." I started crying and brad kept telling me "don't worry- they'll find it....don't worry." The midwife just patted me on the back and said "i know this is hard- i hate to be the one to have to tell you" At that point- i was pretty hysterical. Tell me what? What's going on? I'm past 12 weeks and I thought I should be in the clear after that. It was horrible. She told me she was going to try one more time with another doppler. After another good 5 minutes of searching ( i know that doesn't seem long, but when you're laying there staring at the ceiling, praying to hear that little thump thump thump- it's an eternity) she FINALLY found the baby! He/She was basically right under my right rib cage!! The midwife said "wow, that's the last place i would have looked!" She let us listen to the heartbeat for a few minutes just to calm our nerves.

Phew. So- that sums up the best/worst moments of my life so far!

heeellloooo

I have an appointment on Friday for my 3 month check-up! I was 3 months on Sunday and i'm very excited! I've been waiting for this point because at 12 weeks your risk for miscarriage drops considerably, so i feel more at ease that our little baby is safe and sound in there. Also, we will hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time on Friday so that's very exciting.

I almost fainted at work today! I was drawing a patient's blood (thank goodness i was finished- i was just labeling the tubes) when i thought to myself  "hmm..i don't feel good" and all of a sudden everything started to get blurry and i was REALLY hot! I excused myself from the patient in just enough time to find a chair. A couple of my awesome co-workers got me an ice pack and started fanning me while i put my head between my knees! This actually isn't the first time this has happened since i got pregnant but it's still scary!

It's so funny to think that mine and Brad's little baby growning inside of me, all two inches of him/her, is what's causing all these changes! But i'm so glad to feel every little ache and weird symptom, as weird as that may sound.=)
