Baby has arrived!

2008-07-30  (35 weeks)
sooo...

Sorry, i'm kind of pooping out on this journal thing! I'm just tired and would rather sleep than edit stuff on the computer...lol Nothing is new, really. Just lots more contractions, which i'm told is normal. The due date is getting closer and closer and for the most part we have everything ready. I have pics that I will post when i have more energy.=D

If you haven't signed the guest book, PLEASE DO!!! I'm printing this out for Emily's baby book and i'm sure she will  enjoy looking at it someday and reading all the messages! Thanks!

I'm so uncomfortable.=(

I can't breathe. I can't walk long distances. I can't touch my toes. I can't sleep. And to top it all off- my stretch marks are getting worse. Ugh.

In happier news...=D....We had our first experience with the hiccups last night! At first i just thought she was kicking me lightly. But then it was a constant tap....tap....tap....tap....in the same spot and I realized what it was. Although it was quite annoying after a while (lol) it was fun.=) She just had to wait until mom was FINALLY comfy in bed to start hiccuping over and over and over...hahaha It only lasted about 15 minutes thankfully!  Something new every day!

I had another appointment yesterday and everything went well. My stomach has grown 2 inches in 3 weeks! No wonder i'm getting stretch marks! I told the midwife that I have been experiencing lots of braxton-hicks contractions and she said to just worry about it if I have more than 6 an hour. Also, she said that once I hit 34 weeks, if i should happen to go into early labor,  they wouldn't do anything to stop it. Any time before then and I would get medications to stop the contractions. So after 34 weeks, as long as she's healthy, i'm ready for her to come as soon as possible! haha!

Still no middle name! We're working on it! Thanks to those of you who have given suggestions! There have been some good ones but unfortunately none that we AGREE on!

Have a great holiday!

OK- scratch that...

UGH! Now Emily's daddy says he absolutely doesn't like May as a middle name. I thought we finally had that settled!  I'm beginning to wonder if we're ever going to agree on one! haha! OK- we are looking for a shorter middle name- preferably one syllable since the last name is so long. We need suggestions!

In other baby-related news- I mourned the arrival of my first stretch marks a few days ago! Darn it! A couple small ones popped up on the sides of the tummy. I've been putting on a lot of the palmer's anti-strech mark cream but apparently it's not working too well! *sigh* I was reeeaalllyyyy hoping to avoid getting stretch marks! They're not too bad so let's just hope that no more show up!

Well, I have a doctor's appointment again in about a week and a half. Now i'm going every three weeks and by th end of July i'll be going every week! Exciting! We took a tour of the birthing center at Meriter last week- that was a lot of fun (but a little scary) to see where it's all going to happen!

It's almost July!

Holy cow! Emily's arrival date is quickly approaching- i'm getting so anxious!

Well, the shower was last weekend and it was lovely. Big thanks to grandma Judy/ Brad's mom! It was great! Also, a big thank you to everyone who came- your generosity is greatly appreciated- Emily got so much stuff, she's one lucky little girl! I don't think she'll have to wear the same outfit twice for the first 6 months of her life!

I'm at work so I have to go but I also wanted to say that we FINALLY decided on a middle name- Emily May (or Mae..)! My parents have called me May or Miss May since I was a little girl and we thought it sounded nice with Emily. Brad wasn't sure at first but now he likes it.=) So that's SETTLED!

Ok, talk to you later!
