Shopping! It's offcial, my dress pants no longer fit. I wore them last week for a meeting with work and I thought my waste was going to be squashed into 2 parts. Ouch! After 5 hrs I came home and had a huge red mark around my wasted where my pants were digging in. :-P
Sooo... Last week Grandma Riley and my mom took me clothes shoping for maternity clothes. 1st off, it was sooooo hot in the store I thought I was going to pass out (not good for a store where pregnant people go to shop). It was fun though trying on clothes, I actually felt like I was begining to look pregnant. Some people have noticed at work that I am getting a little bit of a bump :-) After many hours and trips to 5 stores only to head right back to the 1st store I now (thanks to mom and grandma) have some dress pants and church clothes (aka tops to go with the pants) and some summer clothes and a pair of jeans. An the most comfortable shirt that most importantly covers my entire stomach!! Yay! No one wants to see my naked belly:-)
The most depressing thing about shoping though was that I'm not in the pregnant belly it really looks like you are going to have a baby mode and I'm not skinny like I used to be. By the end of the day I just felt fat and was getting a little depressed and a lot tired! Everyone else at the store was at least 6-9 months pregnant and some were huge. (I saw one lady with her spandex pants, wife beater and t-shirt over top of the wife beater who was 8 months (ish) pregnant and had about 4 inches of her stomach hanging out, and she wasn't a cute pregnant person either.)
So now armed with my new wardrobe (and realizing that I love shirts that fit again and that my jeans(my regular ones) aren;t going to fit much longer) I am ready to head off dressed and not scaring anyone.
1 1/2 more weeks left in this tri-mester!! Yikes! I've decided starting next week I'm going to have to begin taking belly shots to capture my growing tummy, exciting!! |
