20 weeks and picture time!

Today we had our 20 week ultrasound.  How amazing and wonderful it was for us to be able to see our baby again.  God is truly amazing how he planed the whole body to grow and how He knows everything about our baby that we haven't even met yet.  We had a wonderful time getting to see all the fingers and toes and little nose of our precious baby!!  And what a stubborn and active baby we have!  It was always trying to put it's hands up infront of it's face or on top of it's head while we were trying to see things like the heart or the brain or the face and it kept moving and wiggling when we wanted it to stay still.  There was much poking and prodding to get it to turn so we could get better views of his/her heart.  Poor baby, it's a wonder it doesn't sleep all day after that

Dan and I were thrilled to see our darling baby and can't wait till we get to meet it!

Yay!

I am finally starting to look pregnant! :-)  One of my patient's family asked me yesterday if I was pregnant.  (I'll admit some of those scrub tops are getting a little snug, luckily I happen to have some that I thought we pretty baggy so I didn't wear much and they fit with a little room to grow).  I didn't realize how much I showed in my scrubs until I caught my reflection in their mirror and sure enough there was a little bump there.  It's only going to get bigger though... I don't mind the belly size getting bigger it's the scale numbers that keep getting bigger that I worry about.  I just keep telling myself it's not forever (at least that's what I hope!).

I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful Memorial Day weekend!  Me my feet are going to rebel from having such a busy day of work yesterday and today.  Only one more day and then a break till Thurs!

Kicks and wiggles...

So I think (and I am going to say "think" because I've never been through this before) that I felt the baby move this past weekend!! There was this little fluttering feeling that seemed to last for a few seconds and dosen't seem like something I've felt before so I am going to call it baby kicks and wiggles.   Needless to say I am very excited!!! I wish though that it were more consistant sometimes I'll go a whole day and not feel anything, which I'm told at this stage is normal, but it makes me worry if everything is ok.

I can't wait till those kicks are strong enough for Dan to feel!  I think he will be much more excited about them when he can actually feel them too.

Speaking of kicks I am feeling them right now as I type, I'm not sure if it's just sitting up and still that the baby likes but this is the spot that I tend to feel them the most.

Just as long as the baby keeps growing and is healthy that's all I care about.

15 weeks!

Wow I can't believe how time flies.  I just made the appointment for my 20 week ultrasound in a month and I know it will be here before I know it!  Pretty soon we'll be sharing our house with a baby.  It's so exciting and yet so hard to believe at the same time but I know we're ready and I know Dan will be an amazing dad so I have no worries.  I'm just itching to get started on baby nursery stuff and all that jazz, once Dan's done with school it will get done.  :-)
