He is SO CUTE!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!
It sounds like you had some plugged ducts rather than mastitis. Try massaging the red spots and applying heat to help the plugs move through. You might see some stringy looking stuff come out as it loosens up! Mastitis will kick your butt. The fever hits VERY fast and VERY furiously and it's HORRIBLE- so I'm very happy that you don't have it, it's almost impossible to function during it until the meds start working. Very high fever.
Your darling is absolutely precious! Congratulations again!!!

Hi
Your entry from 7/31 made my eyes well up with tears. Granted I am still pregnant and it could be hormonal, but what you said about not being the same (while good) hit a chord with me. And it's neat you guys are now a family. And just reading that you cried at first because you thought no one cared about you was therapetic to read, cause I think everyone goes through that, but still acts like everything is great. Thanks for continuing to post, I like reading the entries about Joey!

Michele,
congratulations on the birth of Joey! He is adorable. I just wanted to tell you how much I understand the feeling of "my baby is perfect". I never knew I could love someone so much as my son, Jacob, who was born on June 4th. I scrolled down and read your birth story, and it sounded so much like my own (I was 4 days overdue, my water broke at home around the same time, etc), except I had to have an emergency C-section b/c Jake's heartrate was dropping and didn't come back up. ..it was very scary! But God has his hand on our whole situation too -- and I would do all of it over in a heartbeat, no matter how scary it was!
Parenthood is simply AMAZING, isn't it? Enjoy every moment of it, and know that God creates new skin cells for us every day....just in case you kiss a bunch of Joey's off
Cheers & God bless!
Beth
