Pregnancy Journal

I need to remember to get on more often but nothing too exciting is happening really. Most days I dont even feel pregnant. I rest assured after listening to babies heartbeat with the Fetal Heart Doppler I rented. I'm really excited and I'm one of the most impatient people I know so it's hard having to wait for another 5 months for baby to arrive, but I definately dont want him/her to come early.

I dont have a belly yet. It kind of seems like I do but I think my bump beginnings are just pushing out the little belly I already had prepregnancy. My family is getting really excited also. They are ready to go out and buy everything I need which is nice. I'll be able to save money.

The only thing I can do to help make the time move is to plan the Pre-Birthday Shower. It's going to be co-ed and more of a birthday party than a "baby shower" (shutter!!) I really dont like traditional baby showers. A bunch of women sitting around playing silly little games and laughing hysterically just isnt my thing. I really dont want a lot of fuss being made over me. I just want everybody to enjoy themselves and eat good food. And of course bring presents

I had my first prenatal appointment with my midwife on January 14th. Though very rare I had scared myself silly with thoughts of a tubal pregnancy. I had no signs of one but the "growing pain cramps" in my belly would really scare me. They are mostly on my right side but they move back and forth and sometimes in the middle.  I never experienced any kind of spotting so I was not TOO scared since that COULD be a bad sign. Anyway the midwife confirmed that my uterus is growing and I could finally breathe again. I still get the cramps but I understand that they are normal and I still have not had any bleeding so I just put the heating pad on my belly for a little while and relax. Ba Bye for now!!!
