12/13/07 - Another Dr Appointment
Today we had another doctor's appointment. Everything is going well so far. The baby is moving around quite a lot these days. Her heartbeat was 154 today! They measured my belly which measured a little less than expected, but the doctor says everything is still okay. I've finally start to put on some weight. Otherwise nothing new at the doctor. One more appointment in 4 weeks then I start going to every two weeks. We'll keep you posted. Check back in about 2 weeks when we'll update with all of our travel news. We're going to visit family in FL and GA for the holidays - can't wait!

12/7/07
It has been so exciting since finding out that we are having a girl. It's been wonderful being able to call her by name and start planning for her arrival. Today we went and bought Kirsten some clothes. I loved being able to pick out baby outfits! This morning we also got to put together our baby registry. It was fun but quite scary to see just how much stuff is out there for babies, and how much we need. It's quite overwhelming to try to figure out what is the safest product and actually necessary for the baby. Our new recliner finally arrived! Ryan promises I can have the chair while pregnant and while feeding the baby, but then he plans to reclaim it - I had better use it to my advantage now. I posted the ultrasound pictures from our last appointment, they only gave us two. It's really cute to see her little hands and arms. It's hard to tell much else from the pictures we got. Kirsten was moving a lot. She was quite cute during the ultrasound, but looks a little alien like in the pictures. We tried to talk her into turning toward us so we could see her face better but she's a bit stubborn already! We have another appointment on Thursday - so stay posted. Don't forget to sign the guestbook - we're going to have the site made into a book once the baby is here to show her!

12/5/07 -We found out!
Well I just got home from my ultrasound appointment. We're having a baby girl! Her name is going to be Kirsten Ann. We are very excited to finally know what to buy! At first she wouldn't participate very well, but right when we were going to give up on finding out today she showed us. We'll post up the new pictures soon, just wanted to share the news.

11/25/07 - Thanksgiving
This past weekend was very fun and exciting. Lynn and Phil (Nana and Papa) came to visit us for Thanksgiving. We had a great weekend together. The nursery is starting to come together! We decided to go with a neutral sage green with the theme of ducks and frogs as accents. The room is now painted and some of the furniture in. We have the crib, dresser and changing table together, which Lynn and Phil helped with. It looks great. Can't wait to add some accents now and start filling all the drawers! Only two short weeks till we find out if we are having a boy or a girl. It was also nice to sit down to a nice turkey dinner which turned out well. I was nervous because I had only made one once before, but everything turned out great. We also had fun testing out our firepit outside and testing our guitar skills on Guitar Hero III. Ryan is certainly the champion there. Can't wait for a rematch at Christmas!
