3/21/08 - Finishing touches on nursery! Things have been very busy. We are in full preparation mode for the baby. Poor Ryan has been kept busy. All of our pictures are hung up though, the cars clean, house is getting clean and we're fixing to start work on the yard. The nursery is almost done now! We still have a lot of small things that we need, but the big items are here and ready. We just finished hanging her name on the wall! It took forever but I love the result. We've washed all of her clothes, blankets, towels..... and they are all put away awaiting Kirsten's arrival!
The pregnancy is going well. I feel like I just keep getting bigger and bigger though. She is definitely up in my lungs now! I can't believe we've made it to the ninth month! I can tell its near the end though. My energy is greatly decreased, I sleep a lot more, and I'm starting to get some swelling. Hard to believe we'll be meeting her in four short weeks.
The dogs are doing well. Dixie is just as sweet and hyper as ever. Still teaching Campbell bad tricks though! I went outside the other day to find Campbell had taken an entire new roll of toilet paper outside to eat! Campbell is doing much, much better. He's on another two weeks of antibiotic therapy and we think it ought to cure him. He's much different now, more active and playful. Hopefully he stays well now!
Last weekend we got to visit with Nanny and Bob. They had come to AL for an art show, where we met up with them. Ryan even enjoyed the arts show - he bought a picture even! It was so nice to spend time with them, we hadn't gotten a chance to see them at Christmas. Otherwise work has been keeping both of us busy.

Now that she is getting so close to arrival, Ryan wanted to try something. We would like people to guess the due date (which the doctor puts at April 18th) and her hair color. We are having a debate as to whether she will have blond or red hair! Please post your guesses in the guestbook!

2008-03-11 (34 weeks)
3/11/08 - Another appointment Well today I had another appointment. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing - all they did was measure me again and listen to the baby's heartbeat. You would think with only 6 weeks to go, they would do a little more checking. They said the next appointment would be more thorough though. I have another appointment in 2 weeks, so hopefully I'll have a better update then. Everything looked good this time though. She measured right where she's supposed to and her heartbeat is the upper 130's - lower 140's which is right where it should be.
We've just been busy trying to finish up all of our loose ends now that Ryan is back. We are almost done decorating her nursery - have to hang her name up on the wall. I'll post some pictures when we finally get it hung up!
This past weekend Ryan's best friend Brad came to visit! Ryan and Brad had a great time playing with fire and being rockstars. Unfortunately I had to work all weekend so I didn't get to see much of Brad, but it was nice of him to visit and good for Ryan to get in some guy time before Kirsten arrives.
Things with Campbell are going better too. Apparently he had remnant symptoms from an old tick bite. We now have him on 2 weeks worth of an antibiotic and already we can tell a difference in how he acts. Its great having a definitive diagnosis and some results, we were getting worried about him. He's coming back around though and we got to take him to the beach. He loved it! We had a hard time getting him out of the water to come back home.

2008-03-04 (33 weeks)
3/3/08 - Ryan's Home! Ryan is back! It is so wonderful to have Ryan back home with me! The dogs are very excited too. We had a busy weekend together running errands and getting the house back in order. Things have been very busy recently. Only 7 weeks till Kirsten is here - if she doesn't decide to come early. She is definitely growing a lot now. I certainly think she has her days and nights mixed up - that should be fun when she arrives. My stomach is really quite pregnant looking now. I put up a new belly picture from 33 weeks. Campbell kept trying to get in the picture too. Campbell is doing a little bit better, but he is still bleeding a little each day from his nose. We go back to the vet on Thursday for another evaluation. I certainly hope he gets better soon. We're just busy now trying to do all of the finishing touches on the house, yard and baby room. Also we need to finish buying all the many baby products we need. Hopefully work will slow down a little for me - it's been sooooo busy. Hardly have time to sit at all or eat at work. If this pace at work keeps up, Kirsten will definitely come early. I have another doctor's appointment (finally!) next Tuesday. We will update again then.
2008-02-12 (30 weeks)
2/12/08 - Another doctor appointment Today we had another doctor's appointment. Everything is going very well. I've put on a little more weight finally. The baby is measuring exactly right. So far everything is on track. Kirsten's heart beat was in the 140's, so she's still moving around and growing well! It was a rather short appointment, but nice to know all is still well. Believe it or not, I still have another 4 weeks until my next appointment - got to love the military. Only 10 weeks left in the pregnancy, almost every other doctor has their patients come in every two weeks at this point. Oh well, she is still doing good - and I live with a doctor! Other than the appointment, not many other changes. Just busy trying to finish getting ready for the baby. Lots of little things to finish off around the house. Trying to keep myself busy till Ryan gets back home. We'll update again soon.
