35 week apt. 4/23/08 I'm almost there!!! and so ready!!! well almost! Baby's heartrate was good... my weight was 160.8 so I went up 4 pounds in 2 weeks... but I'm just blaming that on him hoping he is getting bigger! They had a doctor right out of college do the heartrate and measure me.. and then then doctor did it again to make sure.. so that was neat to hear it twice! Not much exciting things going on ye.. just waitng... at least everything looks good... platelets are still low but high enough to have an epideral.. so I hope it keeps that way. She asked if everything was ready at home.. and it almost is.. but she said to get the carseat installed asap just in case so that makes me kinda nervous cause we still have to order one... but I'm sure he'll be in there a little longer.. and if he isn't I won't complain as long as he is big and healthy... so here's to 35 weeks!!! yeah!!!!
2008-04-10 (32 weeks)
33 week appt. 4/10/08 I had my 33 week appointment today and everything went well! I wieghed in about 156, so I gained 2 pounds in the past 2 weeks which is decent, hopefully it's all baby, I think I'm about done gaining weight! The heart beat sounded good, and she said I'm measuring perfectly so we should still be having a May 30th baby even though I wish it was a little sooner. She think he is head down also. My platelet count is still low but went up alittle bit, se said to still plan on a natural delivery, but if it stays over 100 I can have an epideral, she says there is no risk of bleeding at that level, but she is still wanting me to come in every week for a blood test to check it. I can't believe how close Im getting! She asked if we got everything ready for him, and I told her about the nursery we just finish last week, and we should be getting the stroller within the next couple of weeks and just ordered the bassinet. I have been buying little things here and there that we need so it doesnt seem like so much. I will have one more appt before they start check for dialation!!!

Babyshower 3/30/08 I just got back from the babyshower and it was wonderful! We played lots of cute games, like stack the diapers, unscrambling words, guesshow many jelly beans in the bottle, and pass the baby to the music and whoever it stops on had to give us advice about parenting. It was really cute, the men even partisipated and watched me open all the gifts for Tommy. He got lots of cool stuff... a boppy pillow, onsies, a bath tub, diapers, very cute blankets to match his room, a diaper champ so mommy and daddy dont have to smell his dirty diapers, a play gym set, a cart cover so no germs, a baby relief get just in case he gets sick (I hope not) an organizer, and some crib sheets.... now all I need to do is just buy the big stuff!!! We had a good lunch, chile and chicken salad on cresents, very good! and cupcakes for dessert! We had Nicole and Cormac there(who threw us the shower) Pam and Dr. Joe, Brandon and Taylor, of coarse Susan and Rick (place we had the shower in Anderson) and their kids Emi and Eli... and Tom (Pam's brother) Mary jo and Debbie couldn't make it cause they were sick, but we all had a good time and watched the Nascar race some. Now I just can't wait for him to get here!!!! I gotta wash all his blankets and clothes tomorrow, and then work on getting the rest of the stuff I need for him. I can't believe how close we are getting to his arrival! Next thing ya know.. I'll be posting about his birth!
2008-03-27 (30 weeks)
31 week appt. Bad News! 3/27/08
I just got back from my appointment.... and I cried almost all the way home. I guess my platelet count is low.. I already went in for another bood test to check on it again and it's still low so now I have to go in every week for the rest of my pregnancy to check it. The doctor said that it was 119 and normal was 171.. and that at delivery if it goes below 100 that I will have to deliver naturally! say what???? She said to plan on it for the rest of my pregnancy so I'm not devestated when they wont give me one when the time comes. I'm still in shock.. I can't imagine pushing him out with no meds.. I have planned on a epideral even before I got pregnant. The only good thing I can think of is that it will be good for the baby and they tend to breastfeed better right away... but I think I will be so tired and hurting my the end of it.. and would if I rip??? He might be a big baby too.. yikes! We'll see.. I guess I'll plan on it for now.. it's gonna be a long 9 weeks or however long he stays in there. Hopefully he isn;t to big and comes out easy for momma and who knows.. maybe I'll get a pleasent suprise and they will give me the meds... never know!
My weight was 154.5.. so I didn't gain any weight for the last visit 2 weeks ago.. kinda weird.. but the doc said that we'll see where it's at in 2 weeks... could just be because I didn't eat very much.. and baby's heat sounded good. That's all for now... I'm getting close!!!!!
