Bottle Training Well I might go back to work next week if T would take the bottle! I had tried it early on(about 6 weeks) and he took it for awhile and then I didnt do it anymore because I was home so I just EB. Welll now I have to get him to take the bottle so I can go to work and its a no go! HE is stubborn just like his mommy!!! so here is what it looked like....
Day 1: Gave it late morning and chewed on it like a toy, spit out any that was in his mouth.
Day 2: Gave it morning again.... did the same... then let DH feed him and he spit that out too!
Day 3: Late morning again.... wouldn't even let me put it in his mouth, so he is getting worse!!! I will try tomorrow when he is really hungry... looks like I wont be going back to work, or he will starve!
Day 4: Gave up for the day!
Day 5: Pumped in the morning, waited for him to wake up (7 hours without eating... still wouldnt take the bottle... ate a ton out of my engorged breast!
I'd have to say I am not going to work!!! Last day to find out is tomorrow, I will not feed him for 5 hours and let DH feed him.. and see what happens!
Day 6- no go! Kinda happy.. not really ready to go back to work anyways! Thanks Tommy! Anyways... I tried not BFing him and just let Chris give him the bottle with me not around... he went 3 hours without taking it... and I'm sure he would of gone longer(stubborn guy) bit we just couldn't do it anymore... the parents gave in! He was just a little fussy. So we decided that I would just stay home. Tommy wins! |
