Dilated
Last Friday I had to go to the hospital because I couldn't get my contractions to stop. They gave me a shot that slowed them down, but I also found out that I'm 1cm dilated now. So Dr. Snowden wants me on Procardia round-the-clock until July 23rd, then I can stop taking it completely and let her come. The midwife also told that because she is soooo low and her head is literally right there ready to come out, I'll only have to push one or two times once I'm dilated. So good news!
Yesterday I got an ultrasound done and she's 5lbs now. So if she decides to come now, she'll be nice and healthy, but she may have to stay in the hospital a few extra days. So everyone cross your fingers that she'll stay til next Wednesday!! Kev and Kevie are in San Jose this week, and I'm terrified that she'll decide to come before they get back on Saturday. But next Thursday, the day after her "safe day", Devin's dad leaves for Saudi Arabia for 6 days. Then my dad and Mary leave Friday for a soccer tournament. So I'm afraid someone's going to be gone when she comes!! |
