We made it! 28 weeks. Everything else from here on out is pie. Lots of people were asking about what I look like so I finally updated some pictures. You can check them out in the photo album.
We celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday and my 28 week mark by going out to a nice dinner. Although, Brian and I had a funny moment while at dinner. Mom was doing a toast and made the realization that that may have been our last official "nice dinner out" with no kids. Too bad I couldn't drink to that. :-) Who knows, the next time we will get a chance to go out and enjoy a quiet dinner. :-) We had a good laugh.
Since this weekend is Memorial Day weekend, my younger brother Casey is coming to visit. He has put in a special request...... He is not ready to have the kids around, so he asked me to just keep my legs crossed so they don't decide to come while he is here or before he gets here. He would like to have a "boys" weekend, just one last time and isn't prepared to share that with 2 babies. :-) For those of you who know my brother, this is so him. The "boys" will spend the weekend golfing, drinking beer and playing corn-hole (man's version of bean bag toss). All the while, the ladies will be relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Happy Memorial Day!

Things are going well. Everytime we go the doctors, we get positive results. I am at 27 weeks and 4 days. Friday is a big day, 28 weeks. We met with the maternal fetal medicine doctors, which is the high risk team of doctors that will deliver the twins at Forsyth. They are now our official doctors. They will continue to see me every week until delivery.
Last Friday, we met with an orthpedic pedeatrician. He is the doctor that will take care of little Brian's clubbed feet. The doctor was fantastic. He is the only doctor from here to Tennessee that deals with clubbed feet in infants. Brian couldn't be in better hands. Dr. Frino went over the plan of attack for fixing little B's feet. As of now, the plan is that once he is born, within 30 days of that, little B will have casts on both his feet/legs. The casts will be changed every week for 6 weeks. After that, he will have surgery. The surgery will be a heel cord cut. It is an outpatient procedure that requires no stitches or pain medicine. The procedure should last no longer than 20-25 mins. Then little B will have casts on his feet/legs with a bar in between his legs for up to 3 months. Altogether the process should be about 4 months or so. Dr. Frino wants to have little B's feet fixed by the time he is ready to crawl or walk. We want to make sure that he will hit all of the necessary developmental milestones. Once this process is done, B's feet will be as good as new. The process sounds long and grueling, but very necessary. In the grand scheme of things, of all the things we have had to deal with over the past 2 1/2 years, having a baby with fixable clubbed feet is nothing.
I have added some updated pictures to my album for those of you who haven't had a chance to check it out. Next week when I go back to the doctors, they will do another 4D ultrasound to see if they can get a good look at Molly. She was hiding behind her placenta last time.

I'm home!
Yesterday (Friday) the doctors decided to do a growth rate ultrasound and check my cervix. In a matter of 2 weeks, the babies each gained 6oz and each grew 1 inch. At 26 weeks gestation, that is incredible. My cervix has not changed, it is stable. After the results, the doctors met and decided to let me go home, Rules are still the same, strict bedrest. I can go up and down the stairs once a day. I will still go to the doctors at least once a week for ultrasounds and check ups. The doctors want to continue to keep a close eye on me and the babies. Other than that, I am only supposed to couch surf. My parents are here for the duration. Mom has been cleaning and cooking and watching after me. Dad and Brian have continued to work on things around the house. I must say, the house is looking pretty good. Things are really coming together.
It feels great to be at home. The food is definitely better. It is also nice to be able to sit by an open window and enjoy the fresh air. What a fantastic feeling.
I will continue to keep you posted on how things are going.

Today is exactly 2 weeks to the day that I have been in here. I am 25 weeks and 4 days.
I guess that I am the talk of the town around this hospital. The first few days I was in here, Brian brought some of my things from home. I figured since I would be here forever, I wanted to make it more of a home type of environment for me. I have some of the funny twin onesies hanging up, pictures, flowers, cards and snacks all over the room. As part of the morning rounds, the joke for the doctors is to see what we have added new. Since I am not having any problems, the docs are usually in here for a few minutes. Even in that short of a time, they always notice new stuff. One of the doctors even noticed that I had eaten a banana. It was funny, he said, "I notice that you are eating your fruit, which is good, you only have 2 bananas left." The other doctor told me that it is their morning entertainment, going into the "where's waldo room." The cleaning lady also said that she likes coming in my room because it always smells good and things are organized, unlike the other rooms. As you can see, our world is filled with lots of exciting things. We have a good time getting harrassed by the staff and we have a good time harrassing them.
