We bought baby furniture!

Yesterday Brent & I went to Rock-A-Bye Baby and bought baby furniture!  It was fun and not nearly as stressful as I thought it would be. I'm in love with the crib.  It is beautiful!!! It's not a traditional nursery suit, but just different enough to scream our style!  The designer is from California and only makes two different nursery suits.  He has complete control of his manufacturing & we love the quality of the furniture.  All the pieces are so big & heavy.  We also bought a cradle for our room, since the baby will be downstairs with us for a while.  We thought we had decided on a glider rocker, but made the decision to wait until the shop owner goes to market in June.  He's going to look for us a leather glider rocker recliner.  I have posted a picture of the crib in our photo album...go take a look.

Much love, Brent, Aimee, & Baby

12 weeks today!!!

Bye bye first trimester!  Today we made it over the hump of the first trimester!  I'm so excited! Now I'm waiting for the nausea & vomitting to GO AWAY!!  Still not as bad as previous weeks, but I want it to go away completely!!!

We will see the doctor again on May 20th for a 14 weeks check up.

Until next post, enjoy the warm weather...we are!

Much Love, Aimee

11 wks 4D Ultrasound

Brent & I went to the doctor on Wednesday.  Sorry I'm getting to this blog entry so  late after our visit.  Things went really well.  Our baby is very, very active at 11 wks!  We got to see our baby on 4D ultrasound.  That was amazing!   Good for us...the doctor had come in a few days earlier while the ultrasound tech was out & played with the ultrasound machine.  He messed a few things up & we layed there watching our child on ultrasound for about an hour while the ultrasound tech was on the phone wth GE trying to get the machine fixed.  It was fun to watch our little one kick around everywhere!  I'll be glad when we can feel our baby kicking around on the outside!  We will go back to see Dr. Mercer in 3 weeks and then transition over to another Dr.  We are very sad that Dr. Mercer will not be with us through the whole process, but we know that God is in control and all will work out.  To our friends & family...if you want to see our little one in 4D video, email me & I will send you the link to our website.

As for the sickness situation:  THINGS ARE SO MUCH BETTER!  I'm not sick everyday!  Praise God!  ...if I sleep late enough in the morning I sleep right through the morning sickness.  ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!

Until next time....Much Love to All!

Two Days without N/V...then that was over!
I thought my better days were here!!!  NOT!  I had gone 2 days without throwing up and I thought I was getting over the hump of the first trimester...until this morning   I was sick at work...again!  I had to quickly lay my baby down  (that I was feeding) and proceeded to rip off my gown & gloves while running down the hall trying to contain myself.  It makes things alot easier that I work with women on the unit...most of them have been through pregnancy and know what I'm facing.  Ally laughed at our 2 male respiratory therapist this morning as they looked at each other in total shock as I tried not to hurl before making it to the bathroom. OH...fun days!!!  ANYWAY...just wanted to post a funny about our resp. therapist!  Poor George...he's been on the unit several times when I've been sick.  I know he thinks I'm crazy!
