Our mission is completed for the day.  My parents now know the news of our pregnancy.  My dad went crazy!!!  He was so excited!  Mama was too...she just handled it in a different way than Dad.  It was too funny!  We didn't stay in Deville for long.  We went to lunch with my parents & then headed back to West Monroe.

Ethan (our nephew) also got the news today.  Our expected due date is his birthday!  We sent him a balloon bouquet with one Happy Birthday balloon and several pink & blue balloons.  The card said:  Happy Birthday! November 18, 2008.  Of course it didn't take Amy (his mom) long to figure it out.  It was a fun way to let them know the news of our pregnancy. 

Tomorrow everyone else will get the news. We mailed out our pregnancy announcements today. Fun! Fun!

Dinner was WONDERFUL!  I love some Mexican food! 

So here's the skinny on our doctor's visit today...Gained weight like crazy.  Not going to tell how much...just gained weight.  I have to get that under control!  The ultrasound was awesome!!!  Words can not describe the feeling you get when you hear that heartbeat for the first time.  It was amazing to go through those emotions... instant love and attachment.  I stand amazed at God's workmanship. WOW!!! Dr. Mercer said everything looks beautiful...right on target for 7 weeks gestation.  We will return in 3 to 4 weeks for another ultrasound & check up.

We broke the news to Brent's mom & dad tonight.  That was fun!  They were totally surprised!  Tomorrow morning we will leave for Deville to tell my mom & dad .  So until tomorrow night...sweet dreams!  I will blog again tomorrow after we get home.

Can't type for long...I'm in a huge hurry!  We heard our baby's heartbeat today & we are going to dinner with Brent's parents now to give them the news.  I have lots of ultrasound pictures that I will post later.  All went very well at the Doctor's visit.  We are excited & thankful that everything is going as scheduled.  I will post more tonight after supper.  Much Love!  Brent, Aimee, & Baby

Didn't get out of bed today until ....oh.... 1 p.m.!!!  Everytime I picked my head up off the pillow I had to run for the bathroom.  I'm trying not to be a complainer...but it's a constant battle to not throw up.  I'm sick all day long!  The only time I feel half way normal is when I eat a big meal...the normal feeling only last for an hour or 2 and then the nausea is back. 

I'm thankful that this is going on now that I'm home and not a few days ago when I was at Mom & Dad's.  They would have known something was up.

Brent is on his way home from Nashville now!  I'm so excited that they finished up in the studio early.  God is so good! 

We have another doctor's appointment on Monday at 2:30 p.m.  I think we will probably do some more lab work & another ultrasound to see where we are.  We will break the news to Brent's mom & dad on Monday night & drive to Deville to tell my mom & dad on Tuesday. 

I will update again after the doctors apppointment on Monday.  Until then, I'm praying for strength to make it throught the next 3 nights of work!
