I am such a slacker!!!!!  I haven’t posted a comment since mid-July…I have been so busy, I rarely find time for myself anymore…I’m not complaining, mind you, I love being a Mom, love being back at work and love spending time with Hank…It’s just time gets away from you, you turn around, and POOF it’s been a month…

Hank is doing great…He is such a happy baby…He is beyond adorable and I’m not just saying that because he is my child…Well maybe I am …Hank is eating all of the foods in Stage 1…He LOVES sweet potatoes, they are his favorite…I thought the fruits would send him through the roof with delight but it seems like it’s sweet potatoes…I have to admit, man after my own heart because I love sweet potatoes too…He isn’t crawling yet, but he gets his legs underneath his little body and will rock back and forth…This, I have read, means they are close to crawling…He doesn’t have any teeth yet but he chews on everything and seems to drool a little more…This again, I have heard is what happens right before they start getting teeth…He talks ALL THE TIME, in his own language of course and will give a look like “Why can’t you understand me, I understand me”  …It’s too cute…We just look at him and say it right back…He likes that…He LOVES music…We play classical music for him, but honestly he likes all music…When he starts to get a little fussy,   we will play some music and he settles right down  …this doesn’t always work but most of the time it redirects his fussy, he forgets why he’s fussing and all is right with the world again…lol…Motherhood certainly is fun, challenging and amazing all in the same breath!!!!  I love it!!!! 

I hate green peas was the obvious look on Hank's face when I fed them to him Sunday night......It was beyond cute, I must say...There we were, the family, eating Sunday dinner...I thought what a perfect time to introduce a new food...He has been eating cereal and loving it, so I thought let's get on the veggie band wagon!!!!!  I warmed them up a little, put on his adult sized bib...Have you seen those?  I'm sure you have...they are those cute plastic cover EVERYTHING bibs they sell at Babies R Us and other baby stores...It's hysterical...The bib is so big, it swallows my little guy...and what's even funnier is he then tries to swallow the bib...Vicious vicious cycle...but we digress...

So he hates peas, that was obvious...The look on his face was priceless...Then came the mommy test, I dipped my spoon in the peas and weellll, that aren’t so good…Not bad, just flavorless…they need a little salt…So after torturing Hank with a few spoonfuls of peas, I dipped his spoon in my mashed potatoes...…THAT was a cute face…His eyes got so big, his little mouth just chomping away at the nugget of mashed potatoes I had given him…He loved them and I loved watching him love them...…I can’t wait until they are a staple in his diet…But all good things must come to an end and I gave him more green peas…
