10 weeks Well, we've made it to 10 weeks and things are great. I've gotten used to sleeping with a body pillow and I REALLY like it. I've also stopped being able to fit in my normal pants, so I've been getting used to the maternity pants. It's different, but not too bad. The only complaint I really have right now is that I itch like crazy. I think it's because everything is growing and stretching, but it's still annoying. I finally got Chris to take a picture of me, so I've added it to the photo album and I'm attaching it to this entry.
2008-05-22 (9 weeks)
Blood test Well, we made it to 9 weeks and we got the blood test done yesterday. We're just waiting to hear back on the results. It's driving me crazy. My telepathic powers are not working on making the phone ring today, so I'm trying to NOT go insane by distracting myself. Yeah, that's working so well...
Anyway, there will be an update as soon as the dr calls me. *glares at phone* RING DAMNIT!
Well, update! The dr called and everything is great. My levels are really high and we can schedule the testing at any time. Our next step is to get an ultrasound done.
2008-05-12 (8 weeks)
8 weeks ^_^ Well, I'm 8 weeks today and everything seems to be going well. I've gained a little weight, but mostly it's been inches. Both around the middle and the chest. I had to buy some new shirts, and I'll go shopping for new pants over the weekend. This Thursday is my birthday, and Chris has something great planned for the Saturday after it. I'm not sure what it is yet, but I'm excited to find out.
I go for the blood test on Wednesday of next week, so we're getting closer. Once it comes back clear, we can FINALLY start telling people. We had to tell my mom because we spent the weekend and her place and it saved a lot of awkward behavior and questions.
Things are going great otherwise though, just a little sensitivity to smells here and there, and some cravings. Root beer floats and nachos here I come...^_^
2008-04-23 (5 weeks)
5 weeks Well, we found out a couple of days ago, and we're trying not to get our hopes up too much. But so far, this one seems healthier than the last one, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. I'm 5 weeks and 2 days today. I haven't had any symptoms other than some tenderness and my eyes not being able to focus on the computer screen very well, but that could be the new contacts. We're waiting to tell everyone until June, because that's the 12th week. I don't know how I'm going to be able to do it though...I just want to tell everyone! I go back in for another blood test mid may to make sure that everything is okay, so let's hope that it comes back okay.
