this wk. No nausea yet, just last Sat. morning slight, and alot of "tugging" feeling in the uterus area that day. But this wk. it's been only a little cramping. My appetite's pretty much the same. MAYBE I'm even less hungry now, which is good b/c I'm already at a wght and body fat index that I saw I only need to gain around 15 lbs the whole pregn. for. So it's fine w/ me if I only gain 2-3 lbs the 1st trim. I think there's enough of a "protective fat layer" to keep the baby fed for months..  I tried wearing some tight jeans this wk but I figured it's not worth forcing the button when there's something in there that shouldn't receive stress from the outside! Other than that, the "bumpy" layer of fat  (read "fat" other bloggers- you can't be  showing yet!!)on my stomach will probably not turn into anything else for 3 m or so.

I almost wanted to say something to 2 ladies in the copy room yesterday who kept going on + on about people they know that had miscarriages. I kept quiet, but the copy machine started making enough noise to block them out not soon enough!! People don't know, and when it comes to thinking negatively I'm trying to stay positive. Only 5,5 wks to go to 1st trim's over... I have 10 days till doct's appt which will be good to get u/s.

Well that's about it for this wk. Am starting to miss the glass of wine at a rest. but will have to hold out w/ those non-alc. coctails.

I'm now at the point where I feel minor cramping, or at least like "something's going on" down there. It's usually in the evening. So I guess when I start feeling the baby it will happen at night. Better to not distract me too much during work!  I might feel some pressure on the bladder but don't need to go any more often. I'm used to waiting for hrs since I teach 3 classes in a row. OF course later on, I will have to go during class, the b-room's just down the hall. Hopefully my French II kids won't be too "disappointed" when I tell them at 4 m or whenever I start showing cause the last 2 yrs their teacher's taken maternity leave! But mine will only be 2 wks... until school's out.

I went to the prenatal class who just talked about foods, meds + the hosp. where they want you to give birth at. I found out I can do all the exercises (gym, biking, etc) I've been doing. I hope the next 2.5 wks go fast till the 1st ultrasound. W/ My ins. they will only do the 8wk and 20 wk ultras. That sucks, since if you can't see the sex that day at 20 wks you have to pay for another one, probably several 100$.

I worked out today + was worried about what machines I should/shouldn't use. I signed up for gym membership a month ago and got personal training sessions.. I'll be at the "prenatal class" Tues befre the 1st session so I can find out what is safe to do. I can at least try to tone before I add weigh in the stomach. I need to stay fit in any case but don't wanna do anything to harm. I also am worried about miscarriage alot. I wonder if it's related to if your mom had none you will probably be ok. I've read some other journals and can't believe many people here are telling family right after finding out!! I just told my sister, but will not be telling others. My hubby was of course happy. I hope the next 8 wks go fast till I know everything's ok, it'll be a long 8 wks.

So far I've only had tender boobs. I'm not a person who gets easily sick and I can only recall vomiting when drunk, so MAYBE I'll be lucky!

Just found out today!!! So far I've only told my sister, who's a PNP, who even so I had to tell not to tell anyone else for 8 more wks!! I'd taken the preg. test this morning but refused to believe for sure till the urine test @ doc's office. They have me scheduled for a physical/ultrasound in 4 wks and a "1st preg." class Tues. So I'll get to meet some others in the same boat! I'll tell my hubby as soon as he gets home by saying "I can't do my scuba diving certification in 2 wks, and won't be on Jenny Craig again for a while, guess why"..

We've been trying about 2 m. so I'm happy it didn't take longer, since I'm already 33. I'm also a teacher, so it was great it happened now, so I'll have the baby like 10 days before school's out + have all summer!
