Went in yesterday, not much to report. She did a cervix check + said I was 3cm but that can last a few wks. I don't know if I passed the mucus plug, something came out that was more debris than the last time they did a check but if it was, it can still be a few wks till he's here. Well, I'll just hold tight and not expect him to be here for another few wks since 1st babies are usually late. We have my mother in law's shower today. We'll see what else we get off the registry + but the last-minute things tomorrow.
In other news, there is no job in the district for next yr so the HR director just put in the a contract non-renewal since they can't guarantee anything. It sucks, but maybe there will be something in the district that pops up this morning. I had an interview in another distr. last wk but it'll be at least another wk until they've made a decision, they have to do other interviews.

new pics posted I got some new pics from the shower 3 wks. ago, and belly pic this wk. posted. Got enough clothes yesterday that Gavin'll be well-dressed this summer and went to Bosom Buddies for bra fitting, and spent $160 on 2 bras, a tank + a shawl.. Oh well, confort is the key for the early nursing period, and if it costs... My sister asked why I didn't go to a dept store but you're not gonna get the premium in confort and a good fitting. We also finally got the crib, it's a pretty blue color, will post pics later. Am getting so tired some days, even yesterday w/ not having to work. All the feeling good all prnancy has caught up. I might be exhausted for the next 3-4 wks...

non-stress test, high BP
I 've had a higher low # on the BP the past 2 x's I've checked this wk (Fri + today-at over 90 for the lower #) so I told the OB office and they wanted to see me today even tho I have an appt Thur. So I did the urine test, blod tests to show platlets for signs of preclampsia, a fetal non-stress heartrate test, and amniotic fluid measurement. They also did the strep test and a cervix check, it was 1 cm open but that doesn't really mean anything at this point. Baby's still not descended, tho he is still head down. All looked + came out fine, I think the office just watches closely when someone w/ cronic high BP gets higher late in pgn. When they hooked me up to the monitor, baby was sleeping. So after a couple minutes, the nurse put a buzzer on my stomach and it really woke him! I might have to go thru all those tests every wk or so. The doc said they'd like to see me a couple x's a wk from now on. I think that's excessive, but hopefully most x's will be just to check BP + fetal heartrate like the usual non-eventful appts. I just hope they don't decide they have to induce or do a c-section eventually. (at least not induce until May). I don't want to have too many unnecessary procedures done.
Other than that, I donno what's happening @ work still. There are no positions open for next school yr still. Just have to be patient I guess. I got the principal coming in next wk for another formal eval. Weird since I'm pretty sure the deadline for all admin to turn in end-of-year evals was today.. Will try to upload some pics today. Still haven't gotten the crib yet. the guy said he needs to do retouches, but will pick it up Thurs after appt finally...

3D ultrasound
We went in for that on Mon- we didn't get the best pics (see photoalbum) b/c he had his hands and a foot by his face for a good hr they tried, but at least we got a couple side views of the face and they even gave us $ off on the package! They didn't need to even go for as long, the package was 20 m. but I guess they know it's hard sometime to try to get the baby to move + get better pics (he didn't really move despite having sugar). Oh well maybe I waited too long into pregnancy when he's scrunched in there, and there wasn't alot of fluid around the head. At least he's headdown so that's good. They weren't able to tell the weight there, I can try to ask the OB when I go in Wedn by showing a pic...
other than that, I started up the prenatal yoga again w/ 2 more wks of this session. Got a massage again yesterday but don't think she did that great a job (she did better the 1st time)- it's not like I really have a choice since my regular massage therapist isn't certified in prenatal. It's just when they hardly even get your lower back when you're paying $25 more than the reg. massuse.. At least I have the doula at labor, I won't be going to her for a massage beforehand tho since she's $90/hr and that's really high for a massage! Prenatal massage should be less since you need it more!!
Other than that, the shower's Sat. I hope my friend + sister are planning some activities. Mostly friends from Colo Springs'll be here, we already got some gifts in the mail from those who aren't coming or don't live here. We got the stroller from his grandma today. We're still waiting on the crib to be painted, the carpenter's had 1 month already. He better be done in 1 wk. It's not like the baby's coming so soon but we'd like to get what we paid lots for!
