Body Aches & Feeling Cold!!! Well today were going to Lori's first prenatal appointment. She is 10 or 11 weeks pregnant I think. I have been feeling body aches and pains. I will ask the doctor about that because I never knew that would be a pregnancy symptom. It's mostly in the morning but I feel almost like the flew aches and pains throughout my body. I also feel so much colder than I ever felt. I usually feel hot, warm or comfortable even when Adam is freezing. Lately however, I have had the heater up to 71 degrees and I am in a blanket. Last night Adam was saying, "It is so hot in here." I have never heard him say that before. That is very unusual for me. Every morning that Adam and i wake up we feel like it is Christmas morning. Adam has never been a morning person (especially at 6:00am when he's leaving for work) but since we found out we were pregnant he wakes up singing and laughing. He rubs my belly and says, "Have fun today Dannie and our little baby." We are thinking of the names Bryan (or Brian) Thomas, and the name Sarah Elizabeth. We always liked the name William but we hate the nick name Billy. I also kind of like the name Katherine. Anyways, were off to Lori's Prenatal appointment.

March 17-Getting the test at the Doctors On Monday, March 17 "ST. PATRICKS DAY!" I went down the hill with Lori to get a test from a doctor at Kaiser. I just wanted more conformation. The nurse took me in right away. Then she sent me back to the waiting room with Lori. We only waited a couple of minutes and the nurse came back and she said, "I have something to show you and you can both come if you want." She said that with smirk on her face. I had to fill out a questionaire that asked if I was trying. So the nurse knew that I was trying. Anyways, she said, "Well, I can't technically tell you that your pregnant because the plus is pretty dim but I will tell you that you probably are." She told me to come back in two weeks. She kept my first prenatal appointment for April 7th though. Yeay!

Making the Phone Calls sunday, March 16, 2008
After we found out we were pregnant and after we told mom and dad we had to make phone calls to everyone. But on our way home from going shooting we stopped at Julie's house to tell them we were pregnant. They were so excited. They said they were thinking they might be pregnant. When we got to moms house We called Grandma and Papa, Brandy, Aunt Sissy and Uncle Steve, Marylin and Paul, and I called my friend when we got home Danielle Dowell. When I called Grandma and Papa I said, "When we come to visit you guys in June I might be showing with Lori." My Grandma said, "What!!" with excitement. She said, "Oh Danielle, I am so happy for you." I told my Papa and he said, "Now you and Lori can hold hands together and go through your pregnancies together." When I called Aunt Sissy I asked her if she would be able to make it to my graduation in December. She said, "Oh yeah, I am sure we can make it. I will be happy to be there." I said, "Oh good." and I went on to tell her that I was upset because I had to order a bigger cap and gown. She asked why. I said "because I will be showing by then." She screamed and I could hear her crying. She started screaming to everyone at her house, "Danielle's Pregnant!!!" Ashely grabbed the phone and said, "Danielle I am so happy for you. I am so excited. I love you so much." Aunt sissy grabbed the phone back and said, "I always knew you were going to be a great mom." Uncle steve said in the back ground, "Oh I see who the competitive ones are." He said that because Lori just found out she was pregnant last month. And they inspired us to start trying. We always wanted our kids to grow up together. When I called Brandy she said, "Yeay! I am so excited." Then she yelled to nikki, "Nikki, Aunt D's going to have a baby." Nikki said, "Yeay!" But then Brandy started asking if we were going to move to oregon and I told her that it is definitely our eventual plan. When I called Marylin and Paul, I told her how I passed my CSET test. She was so excited. I said, "Marylin, I also took a different test and I passed that one too." she asked me what test and I told her it was the HPT test. She said, "what?" I said, Yeah, I'm pregnant! She started crying and she said she was so so happy for us. She yelled it out to Paul and he said he was really happy for us. Later that night I had to call danielle and tell her that she was right. I am pregnant. And I was glad that she convinced me to take the test.

"I'm Pregnant!!!"
Well I just found out that I am pregnant. I woke up on Sunday morning of March 16th, 2008 and my period is four days late. I know that doesn't seem very late but I just have this little voice inside me telling me that I am not going to start my period. So I started searching for the pregnancy test strip that Lori gave me last month. She had an extra test strip from the box she bought when she found out she was pregnant. Yes, when we found out they were going to have their first baby we wanted to start trying because we want our kids to grow up together. So Lori and I found out we were pregnant from the same box of pregnancy tests. He he. Pretty funny huh? Anyways, we took the test in the morning and it was definitely positive within the given 2 minutes. The reason we weren't convinced at first was because the window that says the test was accurate wasn't filled in until about 10 minutes. then we knew because the instructions said it could take 10 or more minutes for that line to show up. We were so excited! Adam started pacing around the house and cleaning up. He said, "I feel like I have to do something now. I feel like I need to...Maybe I should shave." He is so funny. I said, "What? do you feel like your aging already?" It didn't really sink in most of the day. I bought a little baby cloth to wrap my test up with so I could give it to my mom and dad. We were going to meet my mom and dad at the shooting range. I know this was a redneck way for my mom and dad to find out their daughters going to have a baby. But that was the way it worked out. Ha ha. I always thought I would have some elaborate creative way of telling my parents. But I was too excited to wait so I just told them as soon as possible. We went to mom and dads for breakfast and didn't want to say anything yet. I told Lori about the positive test. She hugged me and said, "I knew you were. I am so excited. I'm going to cry." Later that day we met them all at the shooting range. As we were all unloading our guns and ammo I said, "Mom, I found something you would really like at an antique store this morning. Here see if you like it." She slowly unrolled it and everyone gathered around her. She said, "What? is it going to jump out at me or explode or something?" When she got to the positive pregnancy test she screamed, "WHAT?" she said we almost gave her a heart attack. Her and my dad started crying with joy. She said, "This is too much. First Tim's going to have a baby and now only a month later I find out your pregnant." They were so happy. My dad was crying and laughing and he said, "This means were going to have another Adam running around!" We spent a few hours shooting targets and we went to Tony's for some tacos to celebrate. It took most of the day to begin to sink in with me and still the next morning I haven't quite come to terms with it yet. Yesterday though, I felt like God was speaking to me. I felt like he was saying to me, "It is your turn Danielle. I am asking you and Adam to step up. I am hiring you to take care of my little child." I feel so honored and privileged to have another one of
God's children growing inside of me.
And God used me and Adam to build him or her.
I am so amazed!!!
