Week Eighteen!
I'm in the eighteenth week!!! Our baby is about six inches long from head to rump. All the books say I should be feeling the baby move now. I'm not. I hope to feel him move soon though. I can't wait. I felt something twice but that was last month. The baby can hear voices now! We are talking to him every day.

Week Seventeen!
Well, it's June 13th and I'm in week 17 already. I haven't written in my journal lately because we went on a trip to Oregon to see Patrick, Nancy and Hannah. We had such a nice week. And then as soon as we got back I had five finals to take. Finals are over!!! When I was done with my math final I was so stressed out...I was starting to feel a tightening around my lower belly. My friend said that stress can cause contractions and to be careful. It went away in about 10 minutes.
My belly is finally starting to grow. When I found out I was pregnant my waist was 42" and now it is 43". Not much growth but my pants are too tight when I'm sitting. I gained three-to-four pounds also. I weighed 189 before pregnancy and now I weigh 193. It's so exciting! We are so excited about our next appointment--July 1st! That's the big ultrasound where we get to see the baby's sex for sure. (That is if he's willing to show us). That will be my 20th week. Half way!
Well I am glad to be done with finals but next week I start my summer classes. I am taking 23 units!!! AHHHH!!! The maximum for summer is 16 but I was able to get signatures from the professors and the Dean of the school to allow me to take an overload of classes. I am taking five classes this summer. Physics, Geography, Computer Science, History, and Art in the Classroom. Wish me luck. And say lots of prayers for me (and our baby).

14th week! Morning sickness??? What???

Well Tomorrow marks the beginning of my fourteenth week (4th month). The baby is now about 4 inches long! This is when everyone says many of the first trimester issues will start to go away-- such as nausea, fatigue, moodiness, etc. Well since I had such an awesome first trimester, God decided to give me a chance to feel some of what most women feel during pregnancy. The past couple of weeks I had a significant decrease in appetite. And nothing sounded good to eat except chicken noodle soup (without the chicken) and candy. I started to gain back a normal appetite this week but two days ago (Sunday) when Adam and I were grocery shopping, I started to feel some semi-sharp shooting pains in my lower back and hip area. I suppose my bones are beginning to change shape/proximity.

Then I started feeling sick to my stomach immediately after the shooting pains and when we got home I laid down and took a nap. Then I woke up crying. I mean like somebody died or something. I was feeling so sad because Adam has been doing so much work for me. He carried up the groceries and was outside building steps in the yard so that I have an easier time walking when I get bigger. Everyday he has been taking such great care of me. Taking out the trash, cleaning the cat litter, doing dishes, building steps, feeding the animals and on top of that he works hard to support me going through school. I was just feeling so guilty that I couldn’t stop crying. I went outside to cry to Adam and he started laughing. He hugged me and said, "Your pregnancy hormones are starting now huh?" I said, "I guess so. "

Anyways, yesterday was much better but this morning I had terrible morning sickness from about 8:30 - 11:00 am. I bought crackers and seven up and it started to make me feel better in about an hour. Then I got up to walk to my next class and felt like I was too dizzy to walk. It has been really hot here at school so maybe that’s why. I have also been having headaches through out the day. (Don't worry I am drinking plenty of water & eating enough calories). But I was thinking about how bad it will be this summer. I am taking six classes this summer!!! AAHHH!!! But after that I will be finished with my BA. YEAY!!!

So I just think its crazy that now that I am in the fourth month--I am feeling the typical pregnancy symptoms. I guess it took that long for my body to realize something was going on inside. My body is saying, "Umm...hello up there? Somebody is growing in here and taking up all my energy....I am mad at you!!!"

Mothers Day!
This was one of the most fun weekends of my life. Adam joined all the guys on Saturday morning to make a gourmet brunch at my mom's house. They made blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit salad, muffins, danishes, yogurt and orange juice. It was so beautiful and all the food came out perfect. They even did all the dishes when we were done eating. They did an awesome job. Mom, Brandy and Sheri (Lori's Mom) got me mothers day gifts. I got so many cute things for the baby. And I got a great pregnancy devotional from my mom. I got a fun pregnancy journal from Brandy. It was like a mini baby shower.
Sunday was the actual mothers day holiday and Adam took me to Laguna Beach. It was such a beautiful sunny day. He went boogie boarding and I was able to relax on the beach and listen to the waves. We got to search through the tide pools and we went to a really nice restaurant for lunch. He even took me to the golden spoon for some ice creme.  He was so sweet. I am so blessed to have him as a husband. I know this baby is going to bring us even closer together. This baby was created out of our love for each other. I am getting more and more excited everyday. I have been feeling some symptoms lately however. I have had very little appetite and even some slight nausea. Bummer huh? It's so funny because I can never think of anything that sounds good to eat. Even all of my favorite foods sound sick. The funny thing is that Adam is really good at coming up with meal ideas that actually sound good to eat.
