12 weeks
On Thursday, the 20th, I didn't feel too good.  I actually vomitted for the first time. (twice)  I have been having trouble with constipation so I think that contributed to my feeling bad.  Anyway, today I am 12 weeks, so that is a pregnancy mile marker for me.

2nd Dr. Visit 1-18-08

Well, we went to the doctor today to hear the heartbeat, but they could not hear it with their office machine.  In order to ensure everything was ok they ordered a sonogram.  It was really exciting and we were not only able to hear the heartbeat, but get our first glimpse of the baby.  Right now the baby is approx 2" and had a heartbeat of 169bpm.  Everything looks good!  One of the ladies that works with Mikey had a sister-in-law that works in the office and was able to give us a 3D sonogram for free.  Hopefully we can continue that for the other visits.  I have gained 5 pounds since the first visit, but hopefully that will slow down.

Maternity Clothes
I went home this past weekend because Mike was going to the LSU game, so I went to hang out with my family.  My jeans are getting too tight already, so Mom and I went shopping.  I got 3 maternity pants and 3 maternity shirts.  I guess I will be wearing them soon.  I have felt pretty good still. Just tired at night and a few headaches.  Hopefully we will hear the heartbeat on Tuesday.  Until then.....

Catch up!

Well, I will give you all a quick catch up for the last 6-9 weeks.  A day before Thanksgiving, the day of, and the day after, I felt weird about 9 in the morning.  Mikey said, "maybe your pregnant"  So, we went to Olla for the weekend and I took a test!  POSITIVE!  The only people we told were my best friend from home, Kim and Mikey's sister Stephanie.  (Steph and I did 2 more tests, just to be sure) We were so excited, but it was still early, so I wanted to wait a while before we told everyone else.

Over the next couple of weeks, I felt a little tired and sick feeling, but no vomiting.  I began feeling bad at nighttime.  Pretty much every night starting anywhere from 4-5, I just don't feel too great.  My good times are between about 9 or 10 until about 2.  Which is odd for me because I am not an early bird.

I made my Dr. Apt. for December 18th.  She told me everything was looking good and I was due 8-8-08.  Pretty easy date to remember.  I turn a new week every Wednesday, so yesterday I was 9 weeks.

We went to Mom's on December 21st.  We got them a baby booties ornament to tell them the news.  They were super excited.  Christmas Eve, we went to Robbie's and we were going to surprise LeeLee(Mikey's mom) and everyone else.  Jamie and Ross actually joined in on a surprise of their own.  Jamie is due 10 days after me, which is really great!  Now we get to share all of the same gripes and excitements.  Anyway, Lyla(our niece and Godchild) gave Leelee the same present(baby booties) and after she figured out that it was us, she was so excited, she could not believe it!

On Christmas day, we went to my mamaw and poppa's and told our family there.  I think everyone was very excited and maybe surprised there too!

After that, not much has been going on.  I constantly am eating, I ate five meals on Christmas!  I pretty much just eat and lay around at night.  I don't have a job at the moment, I quit the middle of December.  I am in the process of finding another one until the baby is born.  But at least right now, when I am not feeling well, I have the opportunity to lay on my couch instead of my desk ;)

My next Dr. Apt is January 15th and we should be able to hear the heartbeat!  Talk to y'all soon!
