Week 29 - 30 I am starting to wobble like a penguin when walking these days as my tummy is obviously growing & growing. My lower back pain is starting to kick in more (especially during the night). Leg cramping is also happening more often - almost every other day. So...it's the time to go back to my Massage Therapist to pamper myself. In the meantime, I have also custom-made an orthotic insole hoping it can help to control the pain.
As for my apetite, I'm eating more portion and more frequent in the last 2 weeks. However, I haven't been eating much veggie during this pregnancy as I still think that the veggie (especially Chinese style veggie) smells like grass. It's only recently that I can take Romaine and Watercress... as for salads, I have no problem with that as long as there's dressing to go with it. But too bad, I can't have salads everyday as they are considered as 'raw'. I'm also craving for sweets like chocolates/ice-cream/popcorns/cakes etc...
In terms of sleeping at night, the best I've done so far is to sleep 4 hours straight. Now that the baby is bigger and closer to my bladder, I have to wake up 2-3 times on average to the bathroom. Carol is also sleeping much better, waking up only once per night (I guess because I'm sleeping in her room and she's more comfortable). Well, long story short, I didn't want to sleep with my daughter in the first place but I have been so tired running back/forth from room to room in the middle of the night, that's the only solution for me to get more rest....
2009-11-03 (28 weeks)
Week 26 - 28 I can tell that the "honeymoon period" is going to be over soon as for the last 2 weeks, I've been having more leg cramping and frequent visits to the washroom in the middle of the night. I'm also starting to feel lower back pain especially after sitting in a "soft" sofa/chair/bed.
I went to Dr. Ho for the last monthly checkup (yes, starting from next time, it'll be on a bi-weekly basis) and learnt that I've passed the glucose challenge test from last time - yeah!! Dr. Ho has also let me know that he has moved my c-section date from the original plan (Jan. 16) to a week early - January 9, 2010. The reason is because my daughter was born 15 days early in the 1st pregnancy and the chance of having this second baby early will be very high. To play safe and I totally agree with my OB, this will be a wiser decision.
