WEEK 10

Wow! It's been a few weeks since I've written. I'll back track and share everything with you.

We went home for Spring Break and my Aunt's wedding! It was beautiful. The next morning, my 10 week mark, my belly was a little bit more poochy..... I even made Kevin look at it - TWICE! Katharine agreed the "baby" grew over night!

We had a great time while home visiting friends, eating at great restuarants, kissing new babies and as long as I ate lunch at 12noon exactly, I didn't get very much morning sickness.

Katharine was so cute as a flower girl and she was so proud and excited for her Aunt Pat.The wedding was beautiful and a lot of fun!

WEEK 9

Whew! I feel much better! We had an ultrasound on Wednesday March 19th. I was 9 weeks and 3 days, the ultrasound put the baby at 9 weeks and 1 day, which is good. The heart rate was 172 bpm! Wow! We got to see the baby "wiggle"  - it was the cutest thing! He/She wiggled their legs and feet and their little arms moved too. We will find out in June the gender!

We traveled home to NC on Friday for Aunt Pat's wedding. Believe it or not, I have a little poochy tummy! Most people that knew of the pregnancy could see the little baby bump too!

Only 30 more weeks to go!

WEEK 8

What a great day we had at the beginning of this week. I am 8 weeks and 1 day and we had an ultrasound. The baby's heart rate was 154 bpm and the scan put him/her at 8 weeks too, which is promising. Now i'm a little more relaxed about the whole unknown now that we know whats going on! Kevin and I went to a really nice mall and ate at the cheesecake factory for lunch! It was yummy! Then we picked up Katharine from school. She loved the pictures of our little baby! We have another ultrasound scheduled for wed. 3/19/08 !!

This week was pretty quiet. I went out with some girls from sunday school for dinner on Thursday. It was yummy and we had some great conversations.

Friday I went dress shopping for Aunt Pat's wedding. Katharine is the flower girl. I found a "normal" dress that hides my teeny now, but growing tummy and i'm probably freeze, it's short sleeves, but it's really cute and great for the rehearsal dinner.

Saturday we took Katharine to McDonalds for lunch and let her play around the play place. We took Kevin's truck to the shop for spark plug replacements and then went to see Horton hears a Who at the movie theater! It was a really cute movie, and the popcorn is always worth it!

WEEK 7

Well, this week, I'm sorry to say has not been very fun on the baby front. I haven't had so much any sickness, but a lot of tummy pains due to hormones and bloating - YUCK! It's really hard for me to find a comfortable position to sleep and the tums aren't helping!

We had a conference with Katharine's teacher at school and she went from a B+ to an A- in reading and spelling. Her math is still great, but the timed drills are something we are still working with! She is a smart girl and a delight to the classroom.

We had 5-7" of SNOW on Saturday! We played out side for an hour at a time. We made snowballs, and Kevin and Katharine made a snowman, she named Mr. Patches.

She still kisses the baby goodbye everymorning before school! Someone asked her on Friday at our MOMS Club meeting if she had any brothers or sisters and she sheepishly and proudly came over to me and put her arms around me and looked up as to ask if we could tell this person the news... so we did! She is such a proud big sister already!

She sung at church today (check out our website for the video, family) and had to use bells and even sign language. She did a great  job. Kevin and I helped our sunday school class to serve lunch to the needy today at our church. It went well and we had a ton of help!

We have 2 ultrasounds next week!!!!! I'll update you next sunday!
