blah!
Well, today was kind of a sad day. Darrell got laid off so we're back to square one again. My mom took RaeAnna and I to Once Upon A Child. She spent $62 on Rae Rae! RaeAnna got a bunch of outfits size 12 months because that's the size she wears now. Rae needed some nice warm clothes since the weather has been really cold lately plus winter is just around the corner. Rae also got 2 size 18 month outfits. I found her a really nice 2 piece snow suit. The coat is pink and has nylon on the outside and fleece on the inside. The bottoms are nylon on the inside and outside. I couldn't believe that such a nice snow suit was only $8.50! Rae also got 2 hats. One is red and has Dora the Explorer and covers her ears and ties under the chin. The other one is a pink fleece hat that looks like a jester hat and it also covers her ears but it velcros under her chin. Also RaeAnna ate her first donut from a bakery (Dunkin Donuts). It was blueberry and she liked it. She liked her stouffer's macaroni and cheese more though lol. She's so weird because she like macaroni and cheese but she doesn't like real block cheese. Go figure!

First actual fitted shoes!
Well today Darrell and I went to Hershey Shoes and got RaeAnna's feet sized for the first time ever. At first the guy said a size 5 and got size 5 shoes. We tried them on her but when we stood her up and the guy felt her feet in her shoes he said they're too big. So he said she needs a size 4 1/2. So he tried those on her feet. He said her feet are wide which I was surprised because to me her feet look long and average for width. So anyway the shoes that were a 4 1/2 fit her. They are Stride Rite shoes and they are plain white. The shoes cost us $42 but I figured that they would be pricey since we wanted good shoes for her not cheap ones. RaeAnna doesn't walk with the shoes on, she only crawls and scoots. She hates and I do means hates anything on her feet. She cried the whole time she wore them when we were at home. Which is funny because she didn't cry in the store. So we're going to have her wear them a little bit each day and adding a half hour or hour each day making it longer so she'll get used to them and it won't be a cold turkey kind of thing.

Another new thing today was I went to get RaeAnna up from her nap time so she didn't oversleep and she was lying on her belly with her legs between the bars of the railing. I couldn't get her legs unstuck so I called in Darrell. He was able to unstick them but he had to lift each leg up and then push through. She has a little bruise on her leg. She was sleeping like that for awhile. I don't know how that could've been comfortable.

so far so good
RaeAnna's been doing a lot better today. Last night and into today she had diarrhea. So far no rash but that doesn't mean she won't get one. Tonight I'm not giving RaeAnna any tylenol or motrin unless she needs it. Hopefully she won't need it. I know I tried this yesterday but her fever came back then.

my poor baby's sick
RaeAnna was running a fever last night and into today. Her highest temp last night was 103.1. She was clingy and not wanting to eat or play but luckily she's still drinking good. Darrell and I took her to the doctor's today. She weighs 18 pounds and 12 ounces but that's with clothes on. The doctor couldn't find anything wrong with Rae. So she had an adhesive bag put on Rae to get a urine sample to make sure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection. The test came back negative. So the doctor said she thinks RaeAnna has a child's virus called Roseola. They have a high fever for a few days then when the fever breaks they break out in a rash. It's just gotta run it's course. So anyway at 11am I stopped giving RaeAnna motrin and tylenol because she stopped running a temp. At 7pm her fever was back so she's back on the medicine every 3 hours switching from tylenol to motrin. So it's been a very interesting and rough time with a sick baby. I've given her baths too to try to get her fever down. That's about all for now.
