Some of the test results I talked with Dr.Shah on the phone and he said so far all of my blood test results came out great except for my protein c was slightly elevated. He said normal is 138 but mine was 152. He didn't seem overly concerned though. He doesn't think I should be on Heparin anymore but he said he's not a pregnancy doctor. On Monday I have a follow up appointment with Dr.Shah and I'm going to go to Dr.Thomson's office to hopefully get a new lab slip. She ordered a bunch of blood tests but Dr. Shah already ran some of them. So I have to have her fix that so I don't have a re-do. I would also like to take my 1 hour glucose test on Monday and get all of it done with in 1 day.

yesterday and today's doctor appointments Yesterday I had an appointment with a neurologist (Dr. Nisar). She did a neurologic test on me and it came out normal. All she said was she wants me to have an MRI and I think an MRV but not until after the baby's born.Unless I have any more problems I don't have to see her again. Also yesterday I had an appointment with Dr.Moses a high risk pregnancy specialist. I had another ultrasound yesterday which I didn't know I was having. So I got 2 more pics of my baby girl. I left Dr.Moses' office a not very happy pregnant woman! He took me off of the baby aspirin and put me on a low dose (7500 units) of Heparin shots 2 times a day. After 28 weeks my Heparin dose goes up to 10,000 units 2 times a day. My injection spots are bleeding a little off and on so I have to put a bandaid on them. Today I saw my regular ob/gyn (Dr.Thomson). She listened to the baby's heart and measured my belly/uterus and it measured 24 weeks which is right on since I'll be 24 weeks this Saturday. She wants me to have my 1 hour glucose test next week or the week after. Because I'm RH- (AB-) I have to have my blood tested for something special along with the glucose test. I also have to have a bunch of blood tests done the same day as the glucose test for other clotting factors. I'm still waiting on my results from the lupus blood test. Dr.Thomson also said she wants to see me on the 24th. I will be seeing her every 2 weeks. Every 4 weeks I'll be getting an ultrasound and after 28 weeks I'll be put on a monitor every 2 weeks to listen to the baby's heart beat longer. I also found out I gained 4 pounds since last week. I admit I've been bad and eating junk food so now I'm going to have to watch my food intake and make sure it's all healthy food. Dr.Thomson isn't really concerned with my weight gain but I am. I don't mind gaining weight but I don't want to gain too much. I want to gain only the amount the doctors want me to gain which is 25-30 pounds. So far I've gained 11.5 pounds. |

Regular doctor's appointment I had good news today at my appointment. My blood work came back and everything is negative which is great.Dr. Shah ordered more blood work today. So I had another 4 vials taken and this blood test will be for lupus. My arm is still sore from getting blood drawn.I think it's because my arm wasn't done healing from the last blood they took so it was still bruised and now it's bruised more.My arm burns where they drew blood but it isn't warm to the touch it just feels warm inside.I'll call tomorrow to make my appointment with the neurologist. |

3-27-06 Today I had my ob/gyn appointment. Dr. Thomson wanted to know what happened so I told her.She said even if the blood test results show that I don't have a clotting factor she wants me to continue taking 1 baby aspirin a day until the end of my pregnancy. She also wants me to see a maternal and fetal medicine doctor that specializes in high risk pregnancies. So that appointment is on Next Wednesday. Next Thursday is a follow up appointment with my ob/gyn. Dr. Thomson said that my fibroid is at the top of my uterus but it's behind the placenta. She said she wants to do another ultrasound later on in the pregnancy to make sure everything is ok. My appointment with my primary care physician (Dr. Shah) is this week Thursday. I can't make an appointment with the neurologist until I get a referral from Dr. Shah. Also Dr. Thomson said that I might have to have a c-section but she will wait and see what the high risk pregnancy specialist has to say. I got to hear the baby's heart beat today with a doppler and Dr. Thomson said it sounds good. I'm just a walking doctor's appointment lol! At least I'm being watched closely so that hopefully nothing goes wrong.
