First NST
Today I had my first NST. Needless to say RaeAnna didn't cooperate. The nurse thinks it's because I had the test a little early. Usually you have the test at 32 weeks and I'm 31 weeks and a couple days. I was having contractions during the NST. They seemed to get farther apart after I drank some Apple juice. So the hurse and doctor said I need to drink 10 glasses of water a day because dehydration causes the body to produce oxytocin which causes contractions. So because my baby failed the NST the nurse had me get an ultrasound done to make sure everything was ok. Everything was fine and the tech said RaeAnna was in the 87th percentile meaning she'll be 8 pounds and something when she's born. I hope I can have her naturally but if she gets too big for me then I guess I'll end up having a c-section. Then I saw the doctor and she gave me a pelvic exam and something like a pap. She swabbed for a hormone found when in labor. The results should be in in a couple of days. The doctor also said that my cervix wasn't doing anything. I also found out I've gained 1 pound for a total of 15 pounds. My baby shower is this Saturday. I can't wait! Next Wednesday I have another NST scheduled and my first child birth class. On Monday, June 12th I have a follow up appointment with the doctor.

Yay 30th week only 10 more to go hopefully!
This is so exciting 30 weeks. Soon my baby girl will be here and I'll finally meet her. Hopefully everything will continue going smoothly. Nothing new going on just had to celebrate 30 weeks.

3d ultrasound
I was late to my appointment because mapquest was wrong on part of the directions. RaeAnna wasn't cooperating so the tech told me to empty my bladder and go for a walk. So I did and finally we got some pictures but she was still not cooperating as much as we would've liked. Little stinker! We got 4 black and white 3d pictures, 17 color and black and white pictures of 3d and 2d on a cd, and we got a vhs tape with the 4d images where we can watch her move. All that was for $150. Tomorrow night Darrell and I are going to the community baby shower. Also tomorrow my mom's coming over and her and Darrell are going to finish painting the ceiling in the baby's room. My mom also brought over our glider and ottoman yesterday. It's so comfy! Check out the new pictures I put in the photo album.

Clumsy!
Yesterday was not a very good day. I almost fell down 1 step onto the landing when letting the dogs into the house. Then Darrell put my computer chair lower and I totally forgot that he did that. So when I went to sit in my chair I plopped myself down and thought I was going to fall on my butt. It seems so weird that everyone is wishing me a happy mother's day already when my baby's not even born yet. Not really anything new going on other than this Wednesday I have a 3d/4d ultrasound. On Thursday, Darrell has an appointment where he will get a stress test done and wear a holter monitor. Also on Thursday the hospital where our baby will be delivered is having a community baby shower. All I have to bring is money and my registration for the childbirth classes. It will have refreshments and snacks and raffles and stuff like that. Today is the day 1 year ago when Darrell and I had our big wedding/reception. We had actually gotten married on Valentine's Day. |
