When is your due date?
Well, I've been told a number of things to answer this question. Basically, the doctor's say the baby is due between November 5 and November 10. So, I am expecting the baby on October 28. I am not sure why, but that's my prediction! We will see how close I am.

So, what do you want to have?
I keep getting this question over and over again. So, to put all the questions to rest: In all honesty, I would like to have a baby when this pregnancy thing is all said and done. I would really prefer a human baby. I would be a little shocked if it was anything else, but people keep asking. I would like my little human baby to be healthy. So, beyond that, that is all you are going to get as an answer to that question.

A Little Scare
So, last night I had a little scare. Some bleeding. It wasn't heavy, heavy, but more than just spotting. I called the emergency line for my doctor's office. The doctor on call told me it was probably nothing. BUT, there is always a but, since my blood type wasn't listed in my file, I should go to the emergency room just in case it was the worst possible thing happening. I'm really not sure what the blood type has to do with anything. I guess it is probably the "R-something" factor, but I really didn't think that mattered with the first baby, but it must. So, Billy was out on the road for work, so I called my mom. She met me at the emergency room. I got right in and got some blood work done. Then it was time for the ultrasound. They said I may have to get a cathater, and that it would be "well, a little uncomfortable" to have inserted. I was terrified, and since I had to go to the bathroom anyway, they let me try it without it. So, I got the ultrasound, which they wouldn't let me look at while they did it. It worked. So, after some more waiting, the nurse came in again (she was so super nice) and told me that the results were that I was carrying "one, live, healthy fetus." Such super good news. I called Billy to let him know, and we were both so happy. The heartbeat is 160(ish) beats per minute which is great. Yeah! So, I am 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant and all is going well. So, I am on bed rest for today and tomorrow. No doing much of anything but sitting or laying down on my left side. And, I can't lift over 5 pounds until the doctor appointment tomorrow, then we will go from there. So, I am so thankful to God for keeping the baby safe and sound. It was such a helpless feeling, wanting to protect my little baby from harm and not being able to do anything about it. Wow, i've never felt that way before. Such a motherly love. I can't wait to meet my little child, but I am going to enjoy this pregnancy!
