Movement!!

Today (9 and 4) I had the best ultrasound EVER!!! I could see the baby moving and everything!!  It was the most amazing thing - I could see it moving all over the place, little arms and legs but I couldn't feel anything!  It is such a weird sensation to know that there is this living little baby in there, but I have no outward signs of anything.... soon enough though.  I really really didn't want to wait to tell Eric, but it was 3AM and that would have been a little ridiculous!  I can't wait to tell him in the morning though.  I wish he could have seen it too.  He'll have to come soon to see one.  These pictures just aren't cutting it.  This is so fun!  I'm glad things have gone so well!  I'm starting to breathe a little easier, even though we're still considered pretty early.

I promise that as soon as my computer is fixed I'll put up all the images of my ultrasounds!!

HEARTBEAT!!

We saw the HEARTBEAT TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!  YAYYYYY...  after worrying that we wouldn't have anything in there we saw a little peanut today- beating away!!  SO FUN!!  We got a little picture - even though it just looks like a dot.  Our special little bundle of dot!  PHEW!!!  We are really excited.  We'll go back next week and take another look.  I'm just so happy.

We are telling more and more people and everyone has been really happy for us.  I think we'll wait to tell "everyone" until we get a little further along, especially since we're still so early.

We've been reading in our books and Eric even got me a "Chicken Soup for the Expectant Mother's Soul" book for Christmas which was really sweet.  I can't believe this is really happening!! I just keep hoping it continues to go well.  I haven't had any symptoms yet really - a little soreness in my breasts, but other than that nothing.  I was really worried about it at first, especially since everyone else is feeling bad at this point, but talking with my mom, who didn't have any symptoms at all either and seeing the heartbeat today made my nerves settle a little bit.  ... just a bit.

Day one...

Ok… we’re on week four and going well… not very much going on in the pregnancy arena.  We decided to tell our family in our Christmas cards.  I’ll keep my ears out for a phone call soon!  This is so fun.

I know we’re both nervous because of what happened last time.  I’m trying not to get too excited/invested early, but it’s hard because we’ve wanted to have a baby for so long.  It also doesn’t seem quite real yet.  I haven’t been feeling any different lately other than the cramping which is how I just knew I was pregnant!  Eric keeps asking me if I have morning sickness, but alas nothing…… I hope that is a good thing and doesn't mean that there's no baby in there!

An interesting fact:  When I had my quantitative BetaHcg drawn the results came back at 262… which is wonderful… but when I was reading online they say that levels in the 200’s on the day I had mine drawn is sometimes indicative of TWINS!!  It would be hilarious if we are pregnant with twins.  I’ll have to check this out as soon as possible.  The benefit of being an OB/GYN is that I have easy access to ultrasound machines and plenty of doctors to scan me!
