Slower Days The last couple of days everything has really slowed down and I almost don't know what to do with myself. Caleb and I have been running full steam ahead, with so much to do and organise over the last couple of months and coming out the other end is proving kind of strange. Such a change of pace.
We are finally in the BIG 'OLE WHITE HOUSE. Everything is finally out of the unit. No more packing and no more trips back and forth between the 2 places. Most of the house has been set up, though there a few piles of stuff that are yet to be allocated places. All in all, it is pretty much close to sorted. Pretty much.
I don't have to work until Thursday and so have found myself kinda twiddling my thumbs. Baby is due in 5 and 1/2 weeks and I am not sure if that is going to go fast or slow. Perhaps a bit of both.
Physically I am feeling 99.5% better than before. The chance to rest my weary bones has made SUCH a difference, I almost feel normal, just very heavy and very slow.
And baby's movements have gotten so strong they hurt, alot and often. All their clothes and blankets are yet to be washed, and we are contemplating laying new carpet in their room. So of all the rooms in the house, the nursery is the least set up. A friend thought this was strange, but it made sense to set up the rooms we use everyday ASAP and then attack the nursery once those places were under control.
So I guess that will be the focus over the next few weeks. I have done just about as much 'manual labour' as I can now, so the rest is just plodding around taking it slow.
My sister told me yesterday to hurry up and pack my hospital bag. For the moment, I am ignoring her. |
